A/N - So this is my second, revised story! I know that I haven't been updating in a looooong time, but I'm back now! I hope you enjoy my new story, It's Just Fame. I realize some facts about celebrity lives and whatnot may not be entirely correct, but this is just a story! And I hope you enjoy it!

Savannah - age 11

Savannah looked at the grandfather's clock at the edge of the living room. It was the first thing that her father had unpacked, as he claimed that it wa the most special. It was of sentimental value only, but what a value it was. Her father had inherited it fromhisfather who had inherited it fromhisfather, and so on. Savannah, young as she was, could personally not see what was so special about it. The glass had tiny cracks all over, and the wood had started to chip off. She wondered who her father was going to give it to when he got older, as he didn't have a son. Maybe break the tradition and give it to Savannah?

It was noon, according to the clock. Most of the boxes had been unpacked, but Savannah didn't feel like bothering with the rest. She needed a break. "Mom! I'm going out for 10 minutes!" She yelled, hoping that her mother could hear her. She heard a disgruntled response, and decided to take that as a yes.

It was a bit chilly outside. Savannah brought her arms close to her chest, but that didn't help much. A few feet away, a boy who seemed close to her age was trying to land a kickflip with his skateboard, but in vain. He was relentless; he kept on trying, and just when it seemed like he'd got it, he'd fall.

The boy seemed to have noticed Savannah watching him and immediately stopped, turned around, and blushed. "Uh...where you watching me the whole time?" He had a British accent. Savannah found that she quite liked that.

"I'm...sorry. I'm new here and I was just walking around...." She trailed off.

"Oh. You're the family that moved into the Lifton house!"

"Lifton house?"

"Yeah. They used to be good friends of my parents. They lived there before you."

"Oh. Well, my name is Savannah. Hoffman." She made an effort to smile at him.

He gave out an easy, wide grin. "...And now I guess it's the Hoffman house. I'm Jad Wilkes. I live just across the street. My Mom was talking about your family moving in...she was going to invite you to dinner tonight." He looked around, as if his mother was listening in on the conversation. "But, erm, yeah. Feel free to pop over, yeah?"

Savannah nodded quickly. "Yeah. Sure. Okay!" She turned around to leave, but stopped. "And, by the way, if you want to really land that kickflip, make sure you bend your knees again before landing. It prepares you, and then you can just roll away."

She left him with a stunned expression on his face.

Savannah - age 13

"Liar!" Jad exclaimed. "Your Dad didnotbuy you a guitar!"

Savannah shrugged nonchalantly. "See it to believe it, I guess. Come over now, I'[ll show you."

"Yeah, all right." Jad followed Savannah across the street and into the house sullenly. He had developed quite the passion for music and had begged his parents to get him a guitar for his birthday a month ago, but when the day had finally arrived, he found a new playstation. Not to say that he didn't like video games. He just liked music much more.

They entered her bedroom, and indeed, at the corner stood a bass black acoustic guitar.

"Wow." Jad breathed. "It's amazing. Erm, do you mind if I just..." He bit his lip nervously. Savannah knew what he meant, and gestured for him to go and try it out.
