"Nathan?" I reached out to grab Nathan but ended up grabbing the bed sheets. I rolled to the side and opened my eyes but Nathan wasn't in bed or in the room. I walked out of our room and his office's light that was across from our room was on. I saw him reading some papers behind the desk; he only glanced at me when I entered the room. I walked behind him and wrapped both of my arms around his shoulder.

"Why aren't you sleeping?" I rest my chin on his right shoulder.

"The deadline is tomorrow, I need to finish this." He rubbed my hands that were resting on his chest.

"How long till you finish?" I pouted even though he can't see me, for the past days he was always thinking about work and I'm tossed aside.

"Soon, just go back to bed. I'll be there soon." He said

"I'll just wait." I release my embrace and sat down in a sofa in front of his desk. He shrugged his shoulders and continues working. To kill time, I grabbed a book from the shelf. I have just read a few pages when I feel my eyes dropping, I succumbed to my sleepiness.

Nathan's POV

I looked up from all my papers to see Cassandra sleeping in the sofa. I rushed to finish my work and shoved all the papers in my briefcase. I have been neglecting Cassandra for the past days, work has been hectic and busy.

"Cass..." I called her out.

"Cassie..." I called her out again while shaking her body gently.

"Cassandra...." I sighed; she has always been a deep sleeper. I slowly placed my arm under her neck and the other one under her knees.

I gently laid her down in our bed; she looked very beautiful with her blonde locks sprawled around the pillow. I took off her cute husky slippers from her feet and tucked her in. If she ever heard me saying that her husky slippers are cute she will teased me for my whole life. She really wants a husky and I'm planning to get her a husky puppy for our 2 years marriage anniversary.

I slowly slide in beside her after washing up so I wouldn't wake her up, once I've settled myself in bed she immediately snuggled to me. I wrapped my arm around her shoulders and slip my other arm under my pillow, and then I pulled her closer to me.

"Love you." She mumbled to me, awaken by my movements when I got up to turn off the lamp.

"Love you to the moon and back" I pressed my lips to her forehead and drifted to sleep.
