SAMANTHA's POV:
When I woke up in the morning, I lifted my head from Luke's chest to find that we were still laying on the couch together, but not that I minded really, the fact that we were together is what made me the happiest. A few seconds after I woke up, Luke stirred from underneath me, and I looked down at him to find him just waking up.
"Good morning, Mr. Sleepyhead." I smiled.
"Morning, princess." He groggily said. "How'd you sleep?"
"Good, I always do when I'm with you."
"Well I'm glad to hear that."
I laid my head back down on his chest and closed my eyes, smiling to myself when he started tracing small patterns with his finger on the small of my back. I took in a deep breath and let it out through my nose, draping my leg over his and just feeling a sense of peace and happiness. I could lay this way with him forever, there's no doubt about that. I felt him stretch, causing me to move along with his movements, and when he got comfortable again, and started drawing tiny, light patterns on his chest, looking up and seeing a small smile appear on his perfect face.
"Do you want some breakfast?" Luke asked me.
"Mmm..." I thought. "Let's just lay here for a little bit longer."
"Alright, baby."
With that, there was more silence between the two of us, but a good, peaceful silence that I actually enjoyed. I closed my eyes once more and took another deep breath, hoping that we were able to lay here like this forever, but the logical side to me knew better; it just wasn't going to happen even though I wished it would.
It seemed as if the universe was listening to our conversation, because soon enough, there was a knock on Luke's door, and it wasn't light and friendly, it sounded frantic almost. Well Luke heard it as well, so he slowly got up from his place beneath and went to see who it was, making sure that he had clothes on first before he answered who was at the door. I was watching him since I could see the doorway perfectly, and when he opened it up, I saw my family standing outside, looking scared almost, making me pull the blanket that we were using up over most of my body and face so they hopefully wouldn't see me. Oh God, this is bad, really, really bad.
"H-hello, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas, Jake." He greeted them.
"Hi there, we were wondering if you've seen Samantha lately, we couldn't find her this morning." My mom said to him.
"Um, I don't- I don't recall." Luke scratched the back of his neck.
"Sam?" My little brother looked right at me.
Shit.
My parents looked past Luke to see if it was me, and I figured that we were caught, so I just pulled back the covers and got up, luckily still dressed, and an angry expression took over both of my mother and my father's faces. I walked up beside Luke and grabbed his hand, hoping that he would comfort me, which he did, because instead of grabbing my hand, he wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me into his side, seeming as if he was going to protect me from anything that was going to happen.
"Sam, what are you doing over here?" My mother asked me.
I looked down at my feet before answering her.
"Spending time with Luke." I bluntly told her.
"Sam, you can't just come over here at any time you want."
"Why not?"
"Because! We thought you went missing!"
"But I'm perfectly fine."
