" Stop! She needs a break!" Megan yelled. Adam stopped walking along with the rest of them. Grace's face was green. Grace threw up again all over the ground. Grace couldn't breath and began crying hardly. " Grace it's okay!" Megan said, patting her back and slowly sitting her down. Adam sat next to Grace. He pushed her bangs out of the way and kissed her on the forehead. " I'm sorry Grace," Adam said comfortably. Grace tried smiling as much as she could.
" thank-" Grace then began throwing up all over the place. In a very far distance, a male scream was heard. " Guys! That's Luke!" Megan yelled. " I have to go help him!" Megan panicked. " Megan... No.." Grace could barely speak. " He did it for Jacob! And now we need to be brave too," Megan said. Megan began running. " Luke?!" She searched. Megan ran as fast as she could. Luke continuously screamed in pain. " Luke!" Megan screamed in her loudest voice. Megan quickly made a right turn. But the right turn was a dead end. Megan ran off the edge of a cliff. At the bottom of the cliff there were sharp thornes sticking highly off the ground. " HELLLLLP-" Megan screamed at the fall of her death. She landed on the ground with a thorn through her jaw and out of her mouth. Blood gushed out of her impaled jaw, traveling down the blades. Megan couldn't feel anything. She looked down and saw the blade through her mouth. She witnessed the blood dripping down. Tears began barely falling. After a few minutes past, everything in her sight was white and she had passed.
Luke tried running, but he wasn't fast enough. Maddie pulled him back by his legs. She took the dagger and started leaning in towards his face. " Maddie! Stop! It's me... Luke...!" He panicked. He thought in his head, "this isn't Maddie. Kill her Luke. This is not Maddie!" but he didn't think he could kill his friend. Or his some-what friend. " Im sorry Maddie.." He grabbed her wrist tightly, turned the knife towards Maddie, and stabbed Maddie in the head. Maddie fell onto Luke. Luke breathed heavily. "It wasn't Maddie," he thought deeply. Luke pushed the dead body off of him and stood up.
He picked up the dagger and put it in his back pocket. He then walked over to Jacob. Both eyes were stabbed, leaving holes with blood dripping out of them. " Oh my god.. What the hell man," he said, putting his face in his hands. He walked around the room in grief. " I'm so sorry, Jacob. I wish I could've done something," Luke said to Jacob.
Luke started walking down the maze, trying to find the rest of the group.
The anonymous speaker went off again, " There is 23 hours left of the game. Good luck," Luke looked up at the speaker and put his middle finger up. Luke continued to walk. All he could think about was Jacob and Maddie. " I killed someone, I'm a murder," he thought to himself. As he kept walking he made a turn into the same dead end Megan died. Except he caught himself from falling. He looked down and saw blades shot through Megan's face and stomach. He backed up and started running down the maze to tell the others.
Adam, Stephanie, and Grace all were sitting down. Grace heard Megan's scream for help. " did you hear that?" Grace studded. " It was Megan.. We need to go... Help..." She begged. " You need to stay and rest," Adam said, " I don't want you hurt," Grace took a deep breath and thought back for a second. "Don't sleep or you will be killed" she thought back from early when the speaker went on. " I can't rest... I'll be killed. T-they said it on the speaker," Grace remembered. " well I still want you to stay here," he said. " Stephanie and Katherine, can you go help her. We're wasting time," Grace cried. " I understand. Well try and find her," Stephanie enthused.
Stephanie and Katherine began running down the maze. " wait, let me leave a path. I have a rocks in my purse," Katherine said. " Why do you have rocks?" Stephanie smiled. " Ah it was for a science project. But we can't do it now that we're trapped in here," Katherine said, annoyed, while getting them out of her purse. She started leaving a path while running. " I'm really, really sorry. I should've listened to you. I mean, you're always right kat," Stephanie said in guilt. " It's fine," Katherine said.
Katherine and Stephanie began running quickly. Stephanie ran into Luke. " Oh my god, Luke!" She hugged Luke tightly. " You're okay!" She smiled. Luke didn't smile back. " What's wrong?" Stephanie worried. " Jacob, Maddie, Megan... Dead," He said upset. " w-what?" Stephanie and Katherine looked puzzled. Luke pushed Stephanie out of the way and started walking down the track.
Katherine walked up to Luke. " Don't talk to me," Luke demanded. " what happened?" Katherine asked . " Don't want to talk about it," Luke said annoyed. " Look, I don't know how we're going to tell Grace. And Jacob was my crush. And do you know how it feels to hear he just died and the only witness won't tell me how it happened?" Katherine pleaded. " You don't wanna know," Luke said. Stephanie walked up to Katherine and whispered, " We'll find out later. Give him a few seconds. He just witnessed something horrible," Katherine swallowed and nodded.
They all eventually caught up with Grace and Adam. Grace looked up and smiled. " Hey, Luke," Grace said relieved. All of them say down except Luke. " Where's Megan.." Grace worried. Stephanie closed her eyes and took a deep breath. " We couldn't find her, she's... Missing," Stephanie sorrowed. " No. She's dead," Luke said, irritated. " Luke!" Katherine said angry. " What?" Grace yelled. Adam tried calming down Grace. Grace's eye began to water up. " Grace... I-I'm so sorry," Stephanie apologized, leaning in to hug Grace. " i-it's not you fault," Grace cried.
Luke looked at his feet, in guilt. " What is wrong with you Luke? You don't just say that!" Katherine yelled. " Stop talking to me Katherine. I'm not playing with you," Luke stressed. Katherine stood up. " No. You need to stop having these stupid anger issues. You're ruining every-" Luke pushed Katherine up against the mirror with his arm on her neck. " Luke let go of me!" She pleaded. Stephanie ran over to Luke. " Let her go!" Stephanie yelled in anger. " Stop talking to me Katherine, I mean it!" He pushed ten times harder and then let go.
Katherine fell to the ground and Stephanie caught Katherine and hugged her. Katherine started choking and coughing. " It's gonna be alright," Stephanie said to Katherine. Stephanie gave Luke a dirty look over Katherine's shoulder. Stephanie sat Katherine down next to Grace. " I'm gonna go talk to Luke," She said. Stephanie walked over to Luke. " what the heck is wrong with you? Don't you ever put your hands on Katherine or anyone else here again or I will kill you Luke. Seriously,"
" you don't have the guts, Stephanie," Luke said. Stephanie leaned in and slapped Luke in the face. " I'm not afraid of you," She said. Stephanie walked back to Katherine and sat next to them. " I have it under control," she said.
*15 minutes pass*
Grace decides to go talk to Luke, hoping he's calm now. She goes over and sits next to him. " Hey, are you alright, Luke?" Grace asks. Luke hesitates. " The real question is, are you alright?" Luke asks. Grace shrugs her shoulders. " Not doing my best," Luke looks down. " I'm sorry. For telling you in such a harsh way. I'm not great either if you understand," he said. " I get it. But please tell me how she died. She's my best friend Luke... My best friend," she said.
Luke nodded. " I was running down the maze and I made a quick right. But it turns out it led to a far fall. I guess Megan also made that turn and fell to her death. At the bottom there were high blades sticking out of the ground. One was sticking out of her head and the other was sticking out of her mouth," he said, sadly.
Grace looked down and began crying. " Thank you," she said, giving Luke a hug. " I'm sorry, Grace," He said. She nodded and said, " it's fine," She walked over to Adam and began cuddling him. " Adam... Kiss me like the worlds going to end," she said, crying hardly. Adam put his hand on her cheek and leaned in to her face. They both began kissing each other for a long time. Stephanie started to stare at Luke.
