Chapter 1

*Yawn*

It was a cool morning in our castle, which is no surprise. Everyday I did the same routine. I wake up, then clean up, and go downstairs to eat breakfast before training with my friend.
My name is Keavy and I am a princess.
My parents have many secrets and tomorrow will be the day that they agreed to answer my questions. The reason tomorrow is so special is because I am turning 18. My parents haven't forced me to marry yet and I am thankful, but I wonder if it is because they are hiding something. I try not to worry though because I trust my parents and I know they mean well. I find my friend Gwawr who I told you about. She is an amazing sword fighter that knows people's weak points and flaws within armor. She is currently fighting one of our guards, Griffith. He is the guard for my father since he got top marks in his tests. Only I know that Gwawr beat him and decided she would make a great companion. She was very quiet when I first met her and now she is someone I can talk to regularly that won't use titles or one word answers. She knew me completely and  i knew her just as well. They pulled me into their mock battle and Gwawr tossed me a sword. I was getting really good with it and could easily surpass some of my guards. We trained for about two hours and finally called a quits so we could eat. I walked with Gwawr and noticed the way Griffith looked at her. I knew he liked her and admired her skills but knew Gwawr wasn't the type to date someone so much like her.

Midnight
I was still up. Nothing could put me to sleep. My birthday will soon be celebrated and I was waiting for my questions to be answered. At some point my eyes grew tired and there was no way I could resist the sweet temptation of blissful sleep. I closed my eyes and that was all I remembered.
