"Taylor! We're going to be late! Hurry up!!"

Karlie had woken Taylor 4 am; she had told Taylor she wanted to get an early start so they could avoid paparazzi, who usually weren't around that early in the morning. Taylor didn't see the big deal, she didn't really care if she was seen with Karlie. There have been so many shots of her and Karlie these last few months that people just expected to see them together. In fact, she had done an interview earlier that week where she revealed that Karlie had a room in her house.

"Ugh, it's a good thing you're cute Kloss"

Taylor grinned at her, knowing she would do absolutely anything Karlie asked her to do.

They were on their way. It was still dark outside and Taylor was very sleepy. She leaned her head against the passenger side window and dozed off. When she woke, she could hear Karlie singing along to Everything Has Changed, a song on her latest album, Red, that had been added last minute. It's a song Taylor had written about the first night her and Karlie met. Taylor couldn't believe how different things were now, here she was, on the road with her best friend, her soulmate. Taylor wanted to ask Karlie to be her girlfriend. She wasn't ready to come out yet, but she was ready for Karlie to be her girlfriend.

"Hey babe, you woke up! I hope you are ready to see something amazing! I was just about to wake you, we're almost there."

Gosh, Karlie was so cute when she was excited. Karlie pulled onto the side of the road. Taylor had no idea what she was doing or where they were.

"Come on Tay"

"Here? This is your first special spot? Karlie, we're on the side of the road."

"Not here, we have to walk. Now come on, trust me Tay"

It was still dark, Karlie had a flashlight, she led Taylor into the woods. If Taylor were with anyone but Karlie, she would be extremely creeped out and scared. Something ran across the path in front of them, Taylor shrieked and her grip on Karlie's hand tightened; maybe she was a little scared.

"It's okay babe, it was just a little squirrel. We're almost in the clear."

They walked another few minutes, Taylor could see the clearing up ahead. There was a mountain overlooking the ocean. The sun had began to rise and the dew was glistening on the trees. Taylor looked over at Karlie, she looked so proud.

"This is absolutely breathtaking Kar"

"I told you it would be worth it. This is why I woke you so early, I wanted you to see this, I wanted to watch the sunrise with you. I found it one day while I was hiking and I knew that you would love it here."

"I do. Kar, I need to ask you something"

"Okay, but let me set the timer on my camera first so we can get a picture here, I want to document our week together."

Karlie set up the camera so that the picture would be the both of them overlooking the ocean.

"What's your question, Tay?"

Taylor's stomach felt like it was holding a stampede of elephants.

"Karlie, I really like you. I like spending time with you. I like kissing you. I like doing everything with you. I, um, wanted to know if you'd be my girlfriend?"

*This chapter is short, there have been some things happening in my life and I just haven't had time. I will post the rest of the roadtrip hopefully by Sunday. Thanks for reading!*
