Lilliana's POV

My heart started to race. There was no way we could defeat what now appeared to be an army. Out numbered ten to one. I made a choice that I never want to make. "Retreat!" I hated hearing those word slide off my mouth.

I lead them to the west because I knew it was suicide to retreat back to the palace. I hd seen it too many times where soldiers retreated back to their camp or palace and the enemy would just storm on in.

To the west there was a forest the stretched for miles going to unmarked territory. i knew there were trails thy could lead us out of the forest and back to the palace. this plan would only work if we were lucky enough to loose them in the forest and hopefully get them lost.

We were definitely out running them. Though the forest grew thicker. I paused and got off my horse. I couldn't risk leaving any man behind.

I told the men to keep on going and then round back up to the palace when they were sure that no one was following. One of my men asked "why aren't you coming with us?"

My answer was plain and simple, " I need to make sure that everyone got out okay." They nodded their heads and understood. As they ran past I counted. They were all together. But in that moment I realized that I could still hear horse steps coming towards me. I hopped back onto my horse and rode in a different direction hoping that they would follow my trail.

I was right. In a split second I looked back to see if they were coming closer an in that second I felt a huge slam in the back of head. I fell of my horse. I could feel only a little bit on blood coming from my head but it was enough to make me dizzy when I tried to stand up.

My horse stopped almost immediately. There was no way I could get up. I reached out and grabbed my bag. Off of the saddle and then swatted his but and he rode away with out me. I hoped that Ryan would find him and know that I am missing. He wouldn't leave me here to die. Would he?

As I started to crawl into the bushes the sad realization hit me. I knew I was going to get caught. What was worse is that they would find a girl in a suit of armor. Even if Ryan did find me, he would discover that in was a girl. I wasn't about to let that happen

So I did the only rational thing. I took it all off and buried in the bushes. Then I grabbed my bag which had one of my mothers only dresses in it. I just hoped that it fit.

I praised God that it did. The horses became louder and I prayed that in this time of need that they wouldn't find me.

This prayer however, was not answered.

"What's that over there. Off to the path." A heard a man yell.

"It looks like a leg or a foot." I herd another exclaim.

The next voice I heard sounded very demanding, " Go over to them and bring them to me." I heard the rush of feet coming in my direction. There was nothing I could do or say. In a moment the strong warrior in me left and wearying around me blurred into black.

Jameson's POV

And just like that my men came back and one of them carrying a dainty young woman. She had gorgeous locks of gold that hung perfectly from her head. I immediately felt attraction. But I snapped out of it. With the wonder of what she was doing with a whole bunch of soldiers.

"Have you ever seen her before Lord Jameson?" Jeffery questioned.

"Why would I. She is obviously from the southern kingdom. She was with that band of scared mice that obviously didn't realize who they were up against."

"Yes. It's just that thy way you looked at her. I appeared as if you knew her."

"Don't come to such ridiculous conclusions. Give her to me and we will take her back to camp."

Just as he was handing her to me. Her eyes started to stir and in that moment her crystal clear blue eyes shown. I stared into them for want seemed lime an eternity. Surely even though she was the enemy she had to be a goddess.

I became hard and I knew that she was now mine. I would take her back to camp and make love to her and mark her as my own. She is to perfect to be amount the scum of the Southern Kingdom. She belongs with me and only me.

Her eyes only stayed open for a few seconds and then they fell peacefully shut. I knew she wouldn't remember so I didn't bother to try and make reason of what I should say if she was really awake.

One the ride back I noticed the wound on the back of her head. It was recent so that only confirmed that she was with the soldiers and that it was probably the reason why she passed out.

Many of the my men questioned going back to camp with only one captured. But in my mind this was the perfect leverage.

Obviously King Ryan knows this girl if she is riding with his men . He will want her back and that will give me the time to take over the palace and maybe get this bitch to be on my side.

By the time we arrived back to the camp our mystery woman had not yet awaken. So I took her to the physician at the camp so that he could dress her wounds.

Placing her down, I noticed how peaceful she looked. How could someone look so dainty yet powerful at the same time. The only thing that made sense is that she had royal blood in her vanes. Many people from the kingdoms don't travel south because of the rough borders. She had to be his sister or a close cousin.

This made the leverage perfect. Leaving the tent I knew I had to devise a plan to get King Ryan to come out of his cowardly walls and fight me himself.
