I want to travel the world.
To go someplace I’ve never been to,
Just because it’ll be something new for awhile.
I want to order foreign food in
Fancy open-air markets,
Drink fresh wine,
Or bite into a ripe something-or-other.
I want to stumble over
Mysterious words and foreign
Phrases, tripping up,
But never falling over altogether.
I want to stay in a crappy hostel,
Room with people I don’t know,
And feel the thrill of being completely
On my own for once.
I want to see the Eiffel Tower,
The Taj Mahal,
The seedy backstreets of Barcelona,
And the bakeries in Ireland.
I want to taste million of new flavors.
Feel millions of new words, rolling around on my tongue.
Meet a million new people,
See a million new places.
Catch a flight,
Catch my breath, and be off again on another adventure.
There’s a whole world out there.
I can’t wait to get started.
