Chapter 14- "You are having a..."

Chapter 14

"Goodmorning guys" Joe said into his camera that I was holding as he drove us to the clinic "we are on our way to the baby clinic as today we have a scan, we are hopefully going to find out if we are having a boy or a girl as well" I said still concentrating on the road through his sunglasses "Meg is on camera control at the minute"

"Hey guys" I said from behind the camera.

We drove a little more in silence both of us just too excited to talk. When we arrived it was the same as last time, we arrived said our names and stood a seat but were there long as my name was called two minutes later.

As we entered the room a wave of panic came over me, I sat down on the bed "you ok?" Joe said placing a hand knee and I just nodded, he could obviously tell that I was a bit panicky.

"Well guys today are we hoping to find out the sex?" the midwife asked and we both smiled and nodded.

"Is it ok if I record" Joe asked pulling out his camera "we want to viewers to know too"

"Of course sweetie" she said with a big smile "now lets get the show on the road" she took out the gel and put it on my stomach. Joe took out his camera and explained what was going on I smiled and waved at them. I was so happy. The midwife moved the wand around my stomach and the heartbeat suddenly filled the room, Joe took my hand with his spare hand and squeezed it "well it looks like it is very healthy, and I can tell you that I can tell you today that I can see the sex of the baby, would you like to know it?" the midwife asked, we both looked at each other and smiled widely again "well you are having a little baby girl, congratulations!" she said proudly.

She went and got us pictures and I just sat there crying with happiness "guys I am going to have a daughter" Joe said into the camera for the third time, he was like an excited kid, he has always wanted a daughter he told me a few weeks ago. "We will see you guys in a bit as we have to do some boring pregnancy things" he said turning the camera off.

"Right he is your pictures guys, I have booked you in again for your 30 week scan and that should be your last one" the midwife said coming back into the room. She handed me the pictures and we left the clinic and headed home to tell everyone the news.

"Hey babe, we could go out and get loads of furniture for our little girls room if you wanted?" Joe asked while in the car, I thought about it for a while.

"Yeah should we invite Zalfie and we could go for coffee before hand and tell them" I said back to him.

"Good idea, you want to ring them?" he asked.

"Yeah sure, one min" I said getting my phone out.

Z: Mego! OMG do you know the sex?

M: Yeah we do, do you want to meet us at the coffee shop in the lanes and we will tell you there. We were thinking of doing some baby room furniture shopping as well if you wanted to tag along?

Z: OMG yeah we will be there in 10 minutes, we will just walk so we can bring Nala, is that ok?

M: Of course, yeah bring her she needs to know if she is going to have a boy or girl cousin, haha

Z: Ok Meg see you soon, bye

M: Bye Zo

"Right they are meeting us at the coffee shop but I have a plan we need to run home and I will grab that pink onsie they bought and put it in the bag off your mam, you know the one with the ducks and stuff on. I will give them that and that's how we will tell them" I said as we were coming towards our flat.

"What a good idea, I will run in, your not running up those stairs" Joe said.

"Joe I would have taken the lift but whatever your choice"

We pulled into the flat block, Joe jumped out and ran towards the door. I sat and looked through twitter and decided to tease the fans a bit.

@MegYoung: OMG guys! Me and @Joe_Sugg just found out the sex of the baby... but u will all have to wait till his vlog tomorrow. Sorry!

Just as my phone started going crazy with replies, Joe came back through the flat doors and into the car "here you go ma'am... oh and nice tweet, they are going crazy with you for not saying and teasing them like that" he said starting the car again and we went off to the coffee shop to meet Zalfie and Nala.

"Hey guys" I said as we walked up to the table where Zalfie was sat with Nala lay on the ground... well until I walked towards them she was up and trying to climb my leg to get cuddles.

"OMG come on, I dunno if you did that tweet to tease the viewers or me! You have to tell us its killing me!" Zoe said and I handed them the baby bag, they both gave me a funny look.

"Look inside" I said and Alfie put his hand in and pulled out the onsie. They both looked confused then worked it out.

"OMG I am going to have a niece!" Alf shouted a bit too loud, jumping up and wrapping me in one of his famous bear hugs, Zoe jumping up and doing the same.

 We all sat and talked about baby names and future plans until we decided to finally go shopping, we went back to the shop where we got the onsies and looked at cots. Zoe was going crazy, she was wanting to buy us this massive moses basket, with little pink detail all over it, the only thing was that it was £100, she was not spending that much on one. "no Zo no! I have told you we will go halves on it" I said to her.

"Nope I am buying you it and that's final, excuse me I would like to purchase this basket" she said turning to the store manager.

"You little shit" I said to her as she turned around with a winning smirk. "but thank you so much"

"Hey Meg you like this cot?" Joe said to me from beside me.

I turned around and it was this beautiful white cots with thick wood, it was one of those cots that change into a bed when the baby gets older. "Omg its beautiful, that's mine now haha".

After we had been to buy some paint for the room we all headed back to the Moe pad and started on the room, we all started painting the walls, then the boys stopped and went into the living room to put up the moses basket and build to chest of drawers, we kept the walls white as it was easiest so we could get the whole room finished today, as its the only day we have spare at the minute. By 5pm we had finished the whole room, it was beautiful.

We all had dinner at our flat and Zalfie went home about 8pm, I sat in the nursery just looking around at all the beautiful furniture and pictures that had been put up. It just made me want the baby to come quicker if I am honest. The pram as even all built up and was in the other corner of the room, it was my dream pram, a pink silver cross vintage pram.
