*Simon's POV*

Everyone was at Ethan's flat helping to set up for the New Year's party

"The girls are on their way" I heard Tobi said

"I swear no one is gonna leave with brain cells" I said

"Well it's New Year so doesn't matter" I heard Josh say

"Oooh Simon, Jenny said her friend is coming along. Maybe you two can hook up" Tobi said and I rolled my eyes. Jenny is Tobi's girlfriend of two years, Jenny has cute friends but none of them are my type. I mean Jenny is like a sister to me so don't get me wrong, I mean all the guys' girlfriends are like my little sisters but none of their friends are just the one for me. The guys have been trying to hook me up with someone for months now and no one has really catch my eye yet

"I don't get why you guys are even trying, it's just gonna be the same as other girls" I said

"I swear you and Jen's friend are perfect for each other since you both like to moan about not finding the right person" Tobi said

"Come on Simon, just loosen up for tonight" I heard JJ say

"By 'loosen up' you mean get drunk and bang some random chick? No thanks" I said

"What we talking about?" I looked up to see Natalie, Freya and Kayleigh. Natalie is Ethan's girlfriend, Freya is Josh's girlfriend and Kayleigh is Vik's girlfriend

"Jenny is bring her friend or roommate to the party and we recommend that Simon should get friendly with her but he is refusing" Josh said

"Guys! I don't even know the girl" I said

"But you will have the whole party to talk to her and get to know her" Ethan said and I flipped him off

"You guys are unbelievable" I said and shook my head

"What's unbelievable?" We all turned our heads to find Jenny

"Where is your friend?" JJ asked

"On her way up, I left her after telling her the floor and door number plus she had to park the car" Jenny said before going to Tobi and hugging him

"Oh and Ethan, if you run out of tracks then ask Tami to sing. Her voice is amazing and her high notes are on point" Jenny said, Tami so that's her name

"I'll keep that in mind" Ethan said, just then people started to came into the flat. I stayed in a corner and just watched since I wasn't in the mood of mingling with people. I noticed Jenny walk around with this girl and introduce her to the others, I figured it was Tami but I couldn't really see her face. However I did catch a few glimpse at her outfit (MEDIA) which looks slutty, definitely not my type of girl. I continued to slip on my drink before noticing Jenny and her friend Tami stood in front of me

"Jeez Simon, this is a party yet you are stood in a corner" Jenny said and I rolled my eyes

"Just not in the mood" I said

"It's New Year's Eve, you being serious Simon?" Jenny asked and I chuckled before noticing that Tami was stood there awkwardly biting her lip

"You going to introduce me or not?" I asked

"Oh right, Simon this is Tami. She is my roommate, Tami this is Simon. He is another one of the idiots and part of the Sidemen group" Jenny said, Tami gave me a small smile

"Nice to meet you" Tami said and I nodded my head

"Likewise" I said

"Now both of you mingle" Jenny said before pushing Tami towards me, she tripped and I caught her. Jenny disappeared into the crowd and Tami looked at me innocently, for some reason I couldn't help but get lost in her eyes. I don't know for how long we stood there just staring into each other's eyes until Ethan ruined it

"Tami" we both jump and move away from each other

"Yea?" Tami asked

"Can you sing? The laptop is having a breakdown and we have no music. If you can sing then that would be great" Ethan said and I watched as Tami nervously looked around

"I guess" Tami said before Ethan pulled her away. Thanks a lot Behz but why did I get lost in her eyes? I mean I did say her outfit was slutty and not my type. She can't possible be the one, could she?...

New short story, this will basically be the story I update while away on Work Experience so 'I Didn't Mean To Hurt You' will be on pause for 10 days which is two weeks since I don't update on weekends

The book that I'm adding you guys in is still in working in progress, just need to sort out the storyline and everything then I promise you I will have it out as soon as possible.
