" I,Princess Florella, heir of the Pruneian kingdom, child of the elements , and humble resident of the Cerulean Realm, do hereby swear on this crown, in front of all witnesses of this kingdom, to protect and serve all of my people as a noble Queen should. I will not hinder nor harm the people of my kingdom, as I am aware that it is my duty as Queen to keep not only myself but my citizens safe. By taking this crown, I am reposing my needs beneath those of my people and as this crown replaces my tiara, I, Princess Florella, am now your highness, Queen Florella of The Pruniean Kingdom, holder of the elements, and most powerful resident of The Cerulean Realm."
"Again." My father, King Auberon of Pruniea, instructs me, sitting high on his throne.
"But, Father, I've recited this coronation address a horrendous number of times, I can say this address with my eyes closed. May I, be granted to walk about my garden until the first moon sets? My flowers are withering due to my neglect." I plead feeling my tiara slip as I bowed my head as a sign of respect to the king.
" Florella, hold your head high, for you are to be the queen on the rise of the sixth moon, you no longer have to bow your head to me, as I should be bowing to you. I've told you many times." My father chuckled taking a step down from his throne.
A frown decorated my face as my father reminded me of the thing I'd been dreading since I was informed. I did not wish to be Queen, in a conventional realm, the eldest daughter or son would be crowned on their 21st birthday, but here in the Cerulean Realm, the honor belonged to the middle child on their 20th birthday. To my dismay, I was born after my eldest sister, Lyxaria and before my younger brother Calico, therefore, I was heir to the throne.
My father read the expression on my face and knew was I was thinking, every time he'd brought it up I voiced that I did not care to be queen, and it was not that I didn't care to serve my people, I loved my people, I just didn't like the idea of being the one to declare wars. Being the largest kingdom in the Realm not only had it rewards, such as the ruler being able to harvest the power of all the elements and lunar powers, but it also had its consequences, such as the smaller kingdoms wanting the said powers of the elements but more importantly the lunar powers. Lunar powers to my people were as powerful as that of The atomic power of The Solis Realm, it could be used for small things such as healing, but too much could destroy a whole kingdom and this was the plan of the Luvellan Kingdom, destruction.
"Florella, you will be crowned. You will marry. You will be Queen. And that is final." He stated sternly.
This was another concern that I had will being crowned, the arranged marriage. This was how it was planned, if I did not fall in love approximate to my coronation I would have to marry Prince Becklaier of the Xenaoan Kingdom, I had not met him yet and was hopeful that this would work in my favor as it had worked in the favor of my mother and father. Their love was a circumstance of an arranged marriage, my mother always tells me their story frequently to put me at ease of meeting the Prince.
When my mother had heard the news that she would be to wed, Prince Auberon of The Pruniean Kingdom, she was scared. Scared that it would reveal itself to be an arranged marriage without love and even though she would be Queen, she would be a submissive Queen, only doing and speaking as the King allowed. The night of the Prince's dinner she cried to her mother asking her to pull her out of the marriage, but it was too late, they were already flying to the Pruniean castle where'd she'd live the rest of her life. But to her satisfaction, as soon as he'd laid eyes on each other and he saw that there were dried tears adorning my mother's face he drew his handkerchief from his pocket and approached my mother, before he wiped her tears he said, " You are my Queen and the only time that I would be comfortable with you crying, would only be when you are staring down into our child's face and realizing that we created such a beautiful thing. Yet, if you do not wish to marry me, I will not force that upon you, a beautiful young lady such as yourself, so decide if she wants to marry a mule such as myself." she laughed at his words as he wiped her tears and they have been in love years concluding that day.
