Chapter Seven: Surprise
I’M NOT QUITE SURE of how long I’ve been on this planet for. I’m thinking it’s past a month or more. It may even be two months... It blurs together I swear! I do not at all like it here. Pft, I can’t believe anyone would think that.
Am I having a mental fight with myself? Oh gosh, I’m turning into Tristan… If I start making pretzel and jelly sandwiches, I’m going to kill myself…
Though I must admit, I don’t exactly hate the guy. He’s pretty funny at times, but also can drive you insane. I’ve caught myself babbling like him just last week! It’s insane…
“Hungry?” he asked.
“Always,” I answered just like everyday.
“You eat like a cow.”
“Your face is ugly.”
“Every time I make a simple little comment, you insult my face. Why?”
“Habit… I’ve lived in the hood and am used to insults.”
“I thought I trained you to quit saying ‘the hood’ Regan!”
He had a little smirk on his lips. I rolled my eyes. I know, I’m lame for trusting him, but if you met Tristan, the only thing you’d worry about would be him talking to himself. He wouldn’t harm a fly… Well that’s a lie, he just killed a fly last night—anyway; you get my point.
Tristan is harmless. Our relationship is… well we tend to fight a lot… More like bantering about my eating a lot or his insaneness. So basically we banter a whole freaking lot because I eat a lot and he actually is crazy.
“Does your belly jiggle?” he asked randomly.
I shot him a glare.
“When you jump up and down, does your belly jiggle?”
“Shut up.”
“I take that as a yes.”
“Hey, in my world, everybody’s belly jiggles…” I grabbed my bowl of pasta and turned away. “Some more than others…” I muttered and took a scoopful of food.
“My doesn’t.”
“Because you exercise like a freak… Plus you’ve been stuffing me full of fatty foods; I was bound to gain two… eleven pounds…”
He rolled his eyes but smiled a bit when I began eating again.
“Do you have anything for d—“ I stopped talking when my stomach began to cramp up. It was quick, but painful.
“Are you okay?”
“Yeah, it was nothing… So any chocolate?”
“No… Regan, are you sure? There has been some sickness—“
“I’m perfectly fine. I’m sure I’m just hungry.”
He rolled his eyes yet again and went to retrieve something sweet for me. When he left, I touched my stomach curiously. It wasn’t hurting anymore, but still it hurt pretty badly.
When he came back, he handed me a cup of yogurt and fruit. I gave him a quick glare before eating on it. I licked the bowl of course but it wasn’t chocolate, so I was a bit disappointed.
My stomach began to ache again but stopped a few seconds later.
“I need to use the bathroom…” I whispered.
“Are you okay?” He stopped doing push ups and stood beside me with a raised brow.
“Honestly I don’t feel so hot. And before you make some rude comment about me never being hot—“
