As Mabel walked through the halls of the mystery shack dipper approached her.

"Lets go monster hunting Mabel!!" Dipper exclaimed excitedly.

"Ok Bro Bro we can also hand out our party invites!" Mabel lied faking a smile and walking toward the front door.

~Time skip~

"Alright so where to next?" Dipper asked.

The pair had been hunting for 3 hours now with no success surprisingly. As they got to where they had began the whole endeavor they stopped to eat and rest.

"Come on!" Dipper said encouragingly.

"Im tired, the sky's overcast, I'm sorry I need to stop," The winded brunette said "One more or one less doesn't matter don't be worried."

"Mabel.... Its only been 3 hours..." Dipper said sadly.

"We haven't even handed out the invites yet," Mabel crossed her arms. "So can we please go back?"

"Fine..." Dipper sighed as they headed back.

"Dipper do you think that we will always stay together?" Mabel asked as her grip on Dippers hand tightened.

"Of course I'd never leave you!" Dipper said surprised.

"Promise?" Mabel looked up at him.

"Promise." Dipper smiled.

~Another time skip brought to you by time traveling sans and Author-Chan (next day)~

"Dipper how could you?" Mabel sniffed turning to look at him.

"What?" Dipper said looking guilty.

"Dipper! You promised how could you do this to me?!?!" The girl said fresh tears running down her cheeks.

"Mabel I-I this is a once in a lifetime opportunity I have to take it!" He said silently willing her to understand.

"Knowing that at least I would have you coming home, and you promised," The girl yelled, " and now I'm all alone!" She cried harder as she unknowingly grabbed the wrong backpack and fled into the forest.

"MABEL!" Dipper yelled chasing after her.

When the Mabel stopped she was at the edge of a cliff. A bit of earth fell off under the heel of her shoe.

"Dipper," she was crying but smiling at the same time.

By this time the sun was going down. Bathing them in a yellow orange light.

"Mabel what are you doing?!?" Dipper yelled.

"I don't want to go home without you, so I'm not coming home at all." She smiled sadly.

"MABEL I'LL COME HOME WITH YOU JUST STOP THIS!!!" The boy shouted at his twin.

She shook her head."Dipping sauce I would only hold you back its better this way."

As Mabel leaned back and started to fall Dipper ran forward and grabbed her hand. The only thing stopping her from falling to her death was his hand.

"I wont let go of your hand!!!" Dipper said crying even harder.

She looked at him, as her hand slipped, still smiling. Her tears falling with her as her hair blew past her face.

She hit the hard ground barely making a sound. Dipper rushed to her body and saw that the rift that was in his backpack was crushed when she hit the ground. By now it was night. Dipper looked up holding his dead sister watching as a shooting star flew past in the stary night sky.

Epilogue

Dipper had died at the hands of Bill after he had taken over. His last words were: "Kill me Bill. At least then I'll get to see my sister."
