Rin and Yukio's Birthday

Rin Okumura sprung out of bed, and was actually up early for once. It was Yukio and Rin's birthday, two days after Christmas. "Hey Yukio! Get up! Let's go to the park, to the sweet shop, the arcade, and to an amusement park!" It was obvious that Rin was excited.

His twin brother yawned and smiled. "I'm sorry, Rin, but I have to investigate some demons today. I've got lots of responsibilities to fulfill."

"Awe, c'mon! Our birthday only comes once a year, let's have some fun!"

"Alright, if I have some time afterwards." Yukio sighed.

Yukio approached the site where demons were suspected of possessing furniture and attacking customers. The owner spoke with worry in his voice. "If I don't get these blasted demons away from my store, I'll go out of business. Please, Mr. Okumura, defeat these monsters."

Yukio smiled to comfort the man. "It'll be alright, they shouldn't be much of a problem." He slowly walked inside the store and cocked his gun.

Screech, screech.

Yukio turned around, finding his older brother hitting his sword on a lamp. "Crap!" The sword's container was stuck to the lamp!

"Rin?! What are you doing here?! I've told you not to follow me on missions! There are furniture-possessing demons in here, you could accidentally-" The lamp flung itself at Rin, causing him to curse.

"Get off, get off!!!" Rin's blue flames lit, and he bit the lamp. The demon possessing it jumped out, running towards Yukio.

"Not so fast, demon." Yukio shot the demon, causing it to explode. "Rin, take this holy water and soak the place in it. Do not let your guard down."

"Right!"

Meanwhile, at the academy.

"Today is Yukio and Rin's birthday! We should throw them a party!" Shiemi exclaimed.

"Don't you remember? We had a birthday party for everyone not to long ago..." Suguro replied.

"Oh yeah. Well, I still want to do something for them. They do lots of things for us."

"They'll probably be back soon. We can't do much of anything." Izumo spat.

Konekomaru tried to encourage the group. "Guys, this is the last birthday we'll celebrate this year. How about we make it a New Year's/their birthday party?"

"I like that idea!"

"Me too!"
