Chapter Six: Newcomers

"First day?" Mom asked me. I nodded. Of course my new school is The University.
Hey. I'm Diana Love Bautista. 18 years old. Transferee from Canada. I am really a Filipino.
"Yes ma."
She was dropping me to school.
I can't actually drive by myself.
I kissed her on the cheek amd greeted her goodbye. It was actually okay if I had been in Law School but I had to be Engineering School.
Japan was my choice. Ramen and Tonkatsu.
I wish I was in St. Roberts.
I looked for Venue 167.
Venue 167.
I texted my friend, Maya.
Wer tf is Venue 167?
She replied, Wer r u?

Then I bumped into a bad boy. Handsome features, long ears, wearing a black leather jacket and a typical bad boy shirt and pants.
He was cute.
But too typical.
"Sorry." I excused myself as I escaped from the crowd.
"Diana, right?" He asked.
Did he actually know me or are we just wearing nametags?
I turned back and looked at his eyes. They were really black. Dark.
"Yeah."
"I'm Wilford De Leon. Also from the Engineering course." He shook my hand politely. It was a strong grip.
"Hi. I'm Diana Bautista. I am kinda lost. Can you help me to get there?"
"Sure. What venue?" His hands was on the pockets.
"Venue 167." I said confused
Nakanganga siya. Maybe we are in the same class. Or same seat.
Si crush.
Gwapo. Sophisticated. All combined.
"Ako din. Halika."
He took my hand and pulled me into the stairs. We ran up until the 3rd Floor. There,we found Venue 167.
It's not like andyan lang yun.
The stairs were long. Like a fun run. Haba. Nakakakaba. Ang sakit ng legs ko.
"Ito yun."
We went inside the classroom and sat down. Our names were placed on the seat. Then beside mine was his.
Diana & Wilford. May nakaiwan ng isang letter at envelope.
"Ano to?" Every student got one letter in their seats. But not an envelope.
It scripted To Diana.
Wasn't saying WHO wrote it but I guess someone.
I have to read the first letter.
It stated:
Dear student,
Welcome to The University, the path to your future. As the first day, you will introduce yourselves and write this on the piece of paper.
Together, we shall elect Presidents, Vice Pres. and Secretaries of the whole campus.
To our dorm-users, you have every right to lock your doors, windows and closets for safety measures. Starting midnight, all electronics and Internet connections will shut down and it will be opened 5:00 am in the morning.
If you need the Internet for a research, please go down and request the manager to kindly open the Internet connection in your unit.
Please enjoy your stay here in The University. Chins up and walk.

The second one wrote:
Dearest Diana B.
I hope you enjoy your reserved food in the canteen. Can't wait to see you. The dorm is prepared.
Sige na, bye.
I looked right and left.
No one could have been here. Maybe it was another Diana. But I'm the only Diana in Engineering Class. No one else.
"What's that?" A random girl asked me. She was brown-haired too. Like me.
I've read her nametag. She was Antoinette Mikaylah. Antoinette Mikaylah Gonzales.
Kind. But too slutty.
"Letter, I guess?" I told her. She stared at me and apologized. We sat beside each other. She was really into Wilford.
"How'd you meet him?" She asked me, playing with her hair, wrapped around her fingers
Flirty Bitch, I thought.
"Hallway." I sternly told her.
Jealous. Jealous. Jealous
"Just joking. I'm actually les, so yeah. But he's cute." She confessed. Les? Like lesbian? Omigosh. Does her mom know this? But I don't have the right to judge, so yeah.
"Do you have a girlfriend or?" I asked.
"Yup. "
Ohhh.
Wilford tapped my shoulder and started to say something.
"So, where have you been all my life?" He flirts. I like the way he flirts.
