"Come on, is going to be fun" insisted Gina one more time.

"Alright" I sighed "but I'm not drinking anything, ok?"

"Yeah!" they all shouted very excited.

This time the girls wanted to go to a bar that we always go, over there there's karaoke, a good mood and almost every Friday half the price for women on drinks. It was Friday, and as usual we were going out to distract a little bit our stressful lives of work. Diane, Gina, Anne and me, Vinnie, were friends since preschool—yeah, a very long time—so we promised each other to always stay as friends for the rest of our lives. We had our similitudes and differences, but our differences stood up really high when we talk about men. Let's start with Diane, she had some boyfriends, sure, but most of the men she kissed—or even had sex—were with guys that she would never had something serious, I always thought of that as something that I would never do; anyway, she was single by now. And now Gina, she was the type of girl that always had a boyfriend, no matter how much time or how much she loved the last one, at the moment she ended her relationship, after a couple months she would have another boyfriend... and the most shocking thing? Every single one of them loved her as much as they could, that bitch was lucky. And the last one, Anne, she always had a boyfriend too, but she wasn't very luck as Gina, most of her boyfriends were assholes, idiots, a piece of... well, you get me. Anyway, the only one that wasn't single at the time, was Gina—I already explained that—. If you're wondering, sure, I had my relationships, but none of them leaded to marriage. I was 30 and single... what a time to be alive. Well, if I'm honest I wasn't exactly sad, but I wouldn't complain for a boyfriend, either. The girls tried to hook me up with their friends, but I didn't like any of them, let's just say they weren't exactly good people.

Going back to reality, we were heading to our favorite bar to have a good time. As always, we got there, Diane parked the car, we came in and had a seat near to the stage, where people used to sing or make stand up comedies.

"See, I told you we were going to have a good time" smiled Anne.

"Save that for yourself, Jake is texting me every two minutes" said Gina rolling her eyes, we couldn't help laughing.

"Just turn off your phone, you're with us tonight!" said Diane.

"Yeah right" Gina sighed.

"Talking about boyfriends, I need one" Anne laughed.

"Me too, I feel like I have 100 years single" I buffet.

"Feel ya" Diane rolled her eyes.

"There's no one here you're into, girls?" Gina asked.

"Well..." Anne said looking around just like Diane and me "no, not really"

"What about that guy?" Diane said pointing to a guy that was alone in a table, with a drink in his hand, looking at the people dance.

"He looks as lonely and miserable as we do" laughed Anne.

"Oh come on, you're always bitching like that?" I rolled my eyes. They were making fun of the guy with the beard and the hat, which seemed to be having a good time by his own.

"Like you're into him" Diane buffet.

"Why not?" I crossed my arms "he seems very nice and is handsome"

"Not as much as Jake, but Vinnie is right" said Gina supporting me.

"If you like him that much then go and ask him to dance" said Anne.

"I totally would" I responded.

"Then do it, I dare you" Anne looked me very serious.

"Alright, if it makes you happy" I buffet. I was very relaxed, because I wasn't into the guy that much. I walked towards him very calmed and stopped right before him"uh, hi" I smiled.

"Hello"he smiled back very friendly.

"I was wondering if you..." right before I finished to ask him, three more guys appeared to the scene.

"Hey Q, sorry we're late" said one of them "you know, traffic"

"Hey, don't worry about it" he replied very calmed "what were you saying?"

"Oh, right" I shook my head "if you wanted to dance with me" I finished.

"I, I, I don't know... my friends" he said clearly nervous.

"Don't blame us, Q" laughed one of them.

"He's just nervous, he really wants to go" said one of his friends.

"Really?" I laughed a little.

"If they don't mind, yeah, let's go" he smiled looking at me.

"Fantastic, I'll take him for a few minutes, don't worry" I said to his friends.

"No worries, we don't mind at all" one of them said and we went straight to the dance floor.

"I'm Vinnie, by the way" I smiled offering my hand.

"Brian, but call me Q" he smirked back shaking my hand.

"Why Q? If I may ask" I said while we were dancing, the whole conversation was non-stop dance.

"My last name is Quinn, so my friends put me the nick name since high school, so I got along with it" he shrugged.

"That's cool, my nick name is very common" I said "but I prefer it, I hate my name" I buffet.

"What's your full name?" he asked.

"Vinnale Callaway" I rolled my eyes.

"It's a beautiful name" he smiled honestly.

"Thank you" I smiled back.
