Chapter two: The Finals

Rake: Well, I think we have explored enough. This place is perfect to create a guild huh?

Amadeus: Rake, this place is perfect, but it is isolated from everyone.

Amethyst: Aren't your friends waiting?

Rake: Yeah, you guys are right. We should go to the tournament.

Hello, my real name is Ryan Quake. My NLO name is Rake. It's a combination of Ryan and Quake. I am a 15 year old student. I have light brown hair, a slim body, and am about 1.80 meters tall, which makes me... well, tall.

I am what people would call a trader, but I prefer the term collector. Ever since I began to play NLO I traveled through the world to gather the rarest of materials. I usually use bound weapons. I wear light armor, and a hood whenever I need to hide my face. Oh, and Amadeus and Amethyst are my two monster souls. I'll talk about them later. But needless to say they really come in handy when I'm in a pinch.

My goal, well It's the reason I am here in the first place. I want to create a guild. But this one will not be a normal guild. Our aim will be to collect the rarest of materials, and to become as powerful as the 13 gods to battle other stronger opponents. Of course, we will not let a big number of people join, but we will also have our ranking from best to worst.

For starters, the 13 gods are a bunch of players who mostly own a guild. These guys are said to be the strongest players of NLO. They manage politics, and take most of the important decisions inside the game. Needless to say, these guys are strong, but I know a bunch of other factions which are capable of defeating them.

The people who introduced me into the game (my friends) are all joining powerful guilds, but I want to make my own. The place I just found will be our guild hall. It is located inside a canyon, and is in the middle of a river. It even has its training ground and everything! Clearing it out was no easy task, but the loot was worth it.

Oh! Speak of the devil, we have arrived to the arena. Oh god, They are already waiting for me. Kaiser is gonna be pretty pissed.

Mercer: Where were you?

Flynn: Yeah, the fight is about to start.

Rake: I was just attending some business. By the way, where is kaiser?

Mercer: He went inside to separate some seats. I don't want to keep him waiting.

Rake: Yeah, lets get going. If Mercer get's spotted, we are all dead.

These are my friends. Mercer and Flynn. They are the ones who introduced me to the game. Kaiser, well is the one who introduced them to the game. He is the strongest player I have ever seen. Kaiser dual wields two great swords like they were nothing, and uses pitch black armor. That is why no one wants to keep him waiting.

*sees bright light coming from the end of the tunnel*

We just entered the arena and it was literally exploding with people. It would be easy to assume that every seat was taken. Cheers could be heard from every corner of the arena, but I was scared. The first thing I saw as I went into the arena, was a mad kaiser.

Kaiser: What the hell man!

Newbie: Im sorry, but you went away.

Rake: What is going on here?

Kaiser: I went to take a dump and when I came back these guys took my spot!

Mercer: We can't make a ruckus, get ahold of yourself kaiser.

Flynn: Yeah if they see Mercer all the guards will go after him.

Kaiser: Fine. So the stairs it is.

So, we went to the stairs. This sucks.

Kaiser: Rake. Long time no see. What have you been up to?

Rake: Nothing, just exploring as always. Who are the fighters?

Mercer: The fighters are: Aurora, the strongest player and Scythus a wanted criminal.

Flynn: Scythus can manipulate darkness, fire and thunder. Aurora manipulates time itself.

Rake: So then how is Scythus even...

Flynn: Shut up guys! The fight is about to start!

Flynn, is a tall guy with heavy armor and a "special" great sword . Mercer, uses light armor and two guns. He uses a tomahawk axe for hand to hand combat. They are both going into different guilds, but they are all related in one way or another. And their leaders, could easily be compared to Kaiser.

Ready, Fight! Aika excitedly announced.

Its easy to see these guys are strong. As soon as the fight started Aurora became insanely fast! They both exchanged blows and Scythus disappeared into pitch black smoke.

The fight escalated quickly. Both fighters used their monster souls and exchanged incredible blows. As the battle progressed, Scythus used his 4th monster soul wrath. After that, everything became surrounded by a black fog. The last thing I remember was being blown away, and my seat being blasted into smithereens.

When I woke up, my seat was indeed destroyed. I don't know what was scarier. Both Scythus' and Aurora's corpses, or the fact that Kaiser didn't even have a scratch.

Rake: Kaiser, What happened?!?

Kaiser: That Scythus guy lost control over his monster soul. It possessed him.

Rake: So then why is our area all crumbled to bits?

Kaiser: The shield couldn't stand the power of their attacks.

Rake: Are you serious?

Kaiser: Yes. And Aurora gave her life to protect all the players in the arena.

Rake: But some died.

Kaiser: Correct. And to make matters worst, the Scythus has been banished from all order of light territory.

Rake: Because he lost control?

Kaiser: Yes. It wasn't his fault but he still got banished.

Rake: Well I would have done the same thing.

Kaiser: Yeah... I'll go search for Flynn and Mercer. Wanna come?

Rake: No thanks, I have to log out.

Kaiser: Ok, see you tomorrow!

Rake: Bye!

*Log out? Yes*

Hey there guys! I know this chapter is a little fast paced, but I am trying my best to connect it to the NLO story that scythus has already created. I will also drop some references to the aclyotes and bloodfang storylines. (The guy on the cover is kaiser). Happy reading!
