Lunch time finally comes. I walk to the table. everyone is already there. the only vacant spot is next to Rainer. I sit.
" hi guys " I smile at everyone
"hey Karen "
"anyone going to get lunch ?" Avery asks.
"ooh I am. " I raise my hand
"let's go then. I'm starving. " Avery and I get up and head towards the lunch line.
Rainers POV
I pick up a fry from my Tray and pop it in my mouth. Diana turns to me.
"got a sweet spot for Karen ?" she asks with a smirk.
"she's cute. " I say simply.
"date her."
"wait what ? why?" I ask.
" just do it. "
"fine. she's cute and I was planning on asking her on a date sometime anyways. " I agree to it.
Karen and Avery come back with their arms full of food , giggling. they dump the food in the middle of our table.
"Dig in guys !" Avery says as she sits down and grabs a bag of cookies and a Monster Energy Drink.
Karen takes her seat as well and grabs cookies too.
I turn to her.
"so karen what do you do for fun ?" I ask her
she finishes chewing her bite of cookie before talking. "um I dunno. I don't really go out much. " she tells me with a shrug and takes another bite of cookie.
"would you like to go see a movie with me tonight ?" I ask.
she blushes a bit. " as in a date ?"
"yes, as in a date. "
" oh. sure. " she smiles , deep dimples forming on her cheeks.
"great. let me have your number and I'll text you later to figure out everything. "
I hand her my phone so she can put her contact in.
I pocket my phone and grab a bag of chips, ripping it open.
" so there's a party on Friday at Matts house. who's in ?" Diana says.
everyone agrees to go.
Diana turns to Karen. "you going ?"
"uh yeah um sure " she says in return.
" great !"
