Clarissa's POV
unedited
-----------------------------------------------------
I can't believe this! I can't be his mate! This can't be right, can it? Do I deserve this, and if so, what did I do? Why does everything bad have to happen to me?
Every since that night everything good in my life, went bad. I lost my dad, and family, Catherine, and now I'm going to lose my mother and something of far more value to me. My freedom. The retired Alpha looked at what appeared to be his son and spoke, "We must go now. There may be more of them. We'll throw them in the dungeon until day break." his voice laced with a firm, yet weak authority.
Dean growled, as his once stoic, emotionless face, turned to one of pure anger. Anger? What could he be angry for? Dean scowled at the man, through gritted teeth he uttered "My mate will not be thrown in the dungeon", I breathed a sigh of relief as he continued," However, the other woman will." My heart dropped at those words. My heart filled for hate for the one I'm meant to love.
I gently tapped on my mothers cheek, trying to wake her. As she stirred, she asked in a drowsy voice, "Are we safe, yet?" My eyes filled with tears at the statement. I was going to be separated from my mother, my only family left. "Not yet. We'll make it out of this one. I promise." She stood up dizzily and looked around. Her eyes landing on the Alpha, Alpha Dean Jacks, the most feared Alpha in America.
Her eyes began to water and tears flowed out of her eyes. My heart ached as she continued to cry. Standing up I move to walk towards her, when strong muscular arms pick me up and tossing me over his shoulder. "Grab the other one." he instructed. I watched as the retired Alpha dragged my mother after us. He had her by the hair, dragging her along the forest floor, with her screams and outcries.
Now realizing I was tired, I let sleep take over, falling into the best part of my life. Dreams.

I ran through the field yelling for help as my daddy chased me through the field. "I got you!" he hollered victoriously. Shrieking in surprise as he picked me up and placed me onto his shoulders, allowing a view of the gorgeous meadow.
The grass was a silky, smooth green, the trees brightened with the many colors of the upcoming August. The wind spoke to the trees in whispers, telling of the far north, purple-dahlias lacing the field along with many other bright, colorful flowers. A white rabbit ran across the meadow, teasing with its white fur. It stopped, looked back at us, as if telling us to pursue it.
Daddy put me down onto the ground and ran behind a tree. He stepped out in his stunning solid blonde wolf. His fur shimmered in the noon sun, his sandy blonde fur ruffling in the wind. He approached me, bending down, offering me a ride. As soon as I was fitted snugly against his back, he took off at a slow jog, chasing the rabbit, nipping at its heels, but never biting it. I giggled as the north wind brushed my cheeks. Soon the rabbit left and daddy and I lied down in the shade of the old oak. With him still in wolf form, I cuddled with the man I have come to know as daddy.

I wake up to the crunching of leaves, but instead of being upright, I'm upside down. Putting my head down, I see the backside of a very, and I mean very, muscular man. Then, everything came back to me, Catherine, the Beta, Alpha Dean Jacks being my mate. My body tensed under his hold. I began to struggle, pound on his back, and try to wiggle out of his firm grasp. Every time I moved, his grip on me tightened. There is no escape.
We must have covered some serious ground, because soon a giant mansion- like building came into sight and the sun was beginning to rise. It has to be about six in the morning, because a couple of people were getting into their cars when they saw us. They all stopped what they were doing and watched us, they all had happy, ear-to-ear smiles on their faces. Happy their Alpha caught some Rogues. Sick people.
We are people to, yet they treat us like trash. Most of us, Rogues, didn't do anything wrong. Just lost everything we had, like my mother, Catherine and I. Well, now, it's just my mother and I. Others, they were forced out because of something they did. Something terrible.
I was in my thoughts for to long apparently, because I was suddenly thrown down to the ground, landing with a grunt. The retired Alpha tossed my mother like she was a sack of flour. Like she was light. She is a little on the light side, but she weighs about 125 pounds. That's pretty heavy compared to me. I only weigh 105. I have been giving majority of the food caught, to Catherine and her. Always, even at 5.
Dean stared at me intently, while retiree over here, gave me a death glare. If looks could kill, I'd be dead right now. "Get up." Dean's gruff voice announced. "No." I seethed, glaring at their Alpha. "You may be my mate, but I will not be treated like this. If I have to, I'll reject..." I never even got to finish my sentence before he picked me up by the throat, strangling me. "You will do no such thing. You will do as I say. If I say jump, you ask, how high. Got it?"
Barely able to breathe, I nodded, but I never fought back. I never tried to get away from his grip. After a couple more seconds he finally dropped me to the ground. He looked to his father saying, "Take the older one to the cells. I'm taking her." No! I won't just stand by as they take my mother away.
I started to run towards her, but to no avail. I began saying the words that would ruin my life, but if I can save my mother, then so be it. "I, Clarissa Eves, reject...." my sentence being cut off by Dean's lips on mine. Almost instantly, my lips begin to move in sync with his. My hands finding my way to his hair. He pulled away gasping for air, he then began kissing down my jaw and toward my neck, where my neck meets my shoulder. He bite down hard, causing me to scream out in pain, which soon turned to pleasure. I tried to suppress the loud moan that wanted to escape from its imprisonment. "Now, you can never leave me. You....Are.... Mine!" he ground out.
