My eyes slowly open revealing an unfamiliar room. I am sitting in a bed, surrounded by a snow white curtain like a hospital bed. I then look down to discover that my torso is covered in layers of white bandages. I take a breath and decided to start off the day productively. It took me a few tries to successfully get off the bed, I was so tired that my movements were sluggish in response. I step onto the warm fuzzy floor and open my private curtains. I stumbled forwards to see the rest of the room was the same as an apartment building.
Was I asleep in here all this time? No wonder why I feel so hungry. I should probably start looking for something to eat. After looking around the entire room, there was no food refreshers, mini fridges, or food banks. This room must be outdated to earth's advances in Crygies(pronounced Cry-Gee). Maybe there is some stuff downstairs. I took a few sluggish steps to the front door and went to open it when a small lady around my height that had flowing black hair, small glasses, a nurse's uniform in the colors of white with a pink rim and a cross on her chest, and the peculiar thing is that she had little deer ears sticking out of the top of her head like a deer. This is my third time ever seeing a Faunus.
The Faunus nurse blinks at me in total surprise, which I assume is because I am not doing anything. I lean backwards so I am standing upright and then I flash her a smile.
"Good morning!" I exclaimed at her while putting my hands on my sides. She then had a soft giggle and seems to be confused.
"You should sit down, your wounds are not fully healed. You did take quite a beating." The nurse informed me. She was staring at me, marveled.
"I am all better now, i'm just hungry." I informed her.
"Even so... You should stay rested till your parental guardian is here to take you home."
"So, is my Dad coming here to pick me up?" Parental Guardian? Does my Dad know..?
"Yes, he rescued you when you were attacked by a 'rampaging monster'," She says, but that isn't what happened, "So just stay here till he arrives, I will notify him that you woke up early."
"Thank you miss," I chuckle then questionably ask her, "are you a Faunus?"
"Ye-yes I am. Is there something wrong with that?"
"I just don't see a Faunus that often, I like your ears." I said laughing.
"Thank you? I'll notify your parental guardian now. Uh... Please do not leave."
She shuts the door while exiting the room. I guess I should be obedient, I want to know who is impostering my father. I turn towards the bed and sit in it, then start my silent game of folding the sheets into origami.
The clock on the wall is lying to me, I just know it. I have been waiting for days, it has not only been 3 hours! I watch the clock high up on the wall switch the digits back and forth around the date; 13:[1/21]:15. (I love how the clocks have the time but the date is in the middle of it.) I groaned, but to my luck the door creaked open. I look over at the man in the doorway, he is wearing a faded brown wool cloak that is covering his entire body. The man makes his way over to me, but I can feel his eyes staring at me even though his face is completely consumed in the darkness formed from his cloak.
"How are your wounds?" He calmly asked me. I then looked down at my torso where the bandages covered the entirety of my abdomin.
"My presternal region-I mean the upper half of my stomach aches when I move too much."
