Harsh times came with a very unhealthy price for those of the muggleborn status. Even going as far as making them snake food or even a toy to test curses and counter curses for the most unlucky.

The rain fell hard as the windows slightly shook in Ravenclaw tower, the fire burning tall and bright to keep the late night studying students warm until the fire was hushed down to simple embers. Often a fifth year girl would go down when most people were asleep and read, using wand light or candle light to make her pages visable for the inked words to be seen. The book in hand having seemingly an innocent look with the blank cover and new blindings. But the words that lay on top of the pages told of a current history that was being brought into daylight once more in the wizarding world.

Entries that were written by muggleborns in the first wizarding war and even some 'blood traitors' who spared their encounters to the writers. Some of them would make even the most powerful wizards reread to see if the words were real.

'I don't know if I will make it another day' Started a rather intriguing passage 'I am very weak and the cold is hard to keep fighting without my wand to start a fire. The twigs and wood are wet from the storm that had passed and I cannot make fire. I should give up and let them find me. Then I might be given a swift end. I cannot go back home. My blood status will get me murdered' The passage was cut off when the candel near it fell and burned out due to a very good charm that the head of house set up for when a tipped candle fell or the spft carpet.

The fifth year sighed as she closed the book. If rumors were right, by this time next year she would be writting the same passage. A loud crash of lighting and the flash of its electric bolt cued as the room lit up for a second showing the peaceful emptinees of the Ravenclaw common room. Sighing to herself as she picked up her book and wand and headed up to the dorms. Seeing that she had a few hours left for her slumber before the breakfast started in the great hall.

----

She awoke to the faint sounds of chests closing around her and small talk as her house mates in the shared dorm started their mornings. She gave a soft groan as she sat up, opening the curtains on her four poser as she then got up and make the barely messy bed. Looking in the mirror next to her as she looked to the girl staring back. A short haircut that some pointed out as a 'butch' style and her oval face that made her look a bit heavier than she was. Though from how she was able to see herseld clearly in the mirror showed she slept in her glasses as she then adjusted them. She then closed off her fourposer again and went to her trunk that held her second and clean uniform.

She swiftly changed as she set the lightly used one from yesterday on top of her trunk as a sign that they needed to be cleaned when she returned. Making her way down the winding staircase as she tucked her wand safely away in her robes inner pocket she then jumped the last few stairs. Going to the large door and giving it a push. Walking out and then finding her way to the Great Hall as a few lost first years followed her.

She did quick work going through the stairs, even letting the first years go first since she new they were about as hungry as she was, so she made sure that they made it down before the stairs chose to switch around. Giving a small laugh as she had to do a daring jump down a stair or two when the marble shook under her feet. The first years almost looking terrifyed seeing that the stair case moved almost right when she jumped.

As they made it to the Great Hall a rather sleek looking Slytherin male gave a gentle nudge to her arm.

"Ah yes, my little eagle making her way as fast as she can. Guessing you think being late again to breakfast will change what they think of you?"
She gave a soft laugh as she knew his taunting was just their normal, unlike the first years who looked almost offened as they then walked away.
"No Samuel, I simply flew above the staircases again. Did you take your normal hidey hole way here or did you catch a ride with a badger?"
"Ah, Kamern I did. The yellow fellow was happy to show me a fast way here through a wall" Samuel replied as he then placed a hand on her shoulder. "It was rather cold so I though your charming presence was near by"
"Oh ha ha Sam, knowing you, you most likely scared the poor guy into showing you the way"
"Oh don't be so rash-" he said as he then ruffled her hair "-I only said the magic word"

The two then reached the Great Hall as they then sat down at their respective tables as they gave each other both a swift but light shove to each other's arms as a way of bidding a temporary farwell knowing they shared a third period class.

"Kam, you're practically snogging him by now!" A rather quirky Ravenclaw male said as she sat down in front of him. "When are you gonna finally get together? Its like you are waiting for the tragic moment of time to bring you two closer" He said as he then slid her a goblet of O.J.
"No, we are just simply friends Damien" she then took a small sip of the juice as she grabbed a small morning pastry off of a plate. "And you're acting like you never had a crush anyways. What was his name again? Gabriel? The hufflepuff prefect?"
Though she was was met face to face with a danish as she started laughing, though the other seemed to be red in the face.
"Oh shut up! At least he isn't a snake!"
"Damien hush, at least mine isn't scared of their own shadow" She replied as she threw the danish back with a small snort like chuckle. Though when she was about to continue her sentence she was interupted by the small hush sound of people getting up and leaving, the time for their first period starting she she took one last bite from the pastry and set off. One of her classmates who shared the dorm calling her overas she then walked with her. Though getting a bit red in the face when she handed her the bag she forgot, thankful for her since they were the last two to leave the dorms. That and she was one of her few closer friends in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
