Chapter 1

Hi my name is Mckenzie Pullen I'm 18 with dirty blonde hair and blue eyes. All my life I lived with my mom my dad died when I was 3 in a car accident and my mother was strict on me so I wasn't able to do anything and she did drugs and abused me. We live in Mullingar,Ireland.

"MCKENZIE!" my mom calls from downstairs. I run downstairs "Yes mother?" I say politely "I need you to run to the store and grab me some cigarettes." "Why can't you?" I ask. "Because your aunt Cynthia is coming over and I need to get ready. NOW GO!" God I always hated Cynthia my name to her is Little Bitch. I went upstairs to call my best friend Keaton he answers on the second ring

"Hey Kenzie." He says "Hey I have a question." I tell him "Sure what is it?" "I'm tired of my mom can I stay with you for a while until I have money for a house?" "Yeah sure no problem you can bring Chloe if you want." He says "Thanks i'll be there later." "Okay see you later." He says then hangs up I go to my little sister Chloe's room and ask her if she wanted I come with me to the store.

"Hey Chloe you wanna come to the store with me?" "Uh..yeah sure let me slide some shoes on." She replies

We get in the Lamborghini and we start to talk about SERIOUS STUFF.

"Hey Chloe can I tell you something?"

"Yeah sure what is it?" She says.

"Well I was thinking of sneaking out and moving in with Keaton.......with you if you want."

I tell her. "Are you serious?" She asks me. Sounding happy. "Yeah Keaton said its alright so you in?" "YES YES PLEASE GET ME OUT OF THIS HOUSE!" she pleads and I laugh.

We get to the store and I tell the strange old man I need a pack of cigarettes. While Chloe goes and gets junk food. "Okay that'll be £21." I hand him the money and walk out.

We head back to the house and pack our bags then Chloe come in my room "Hey what time are we leaving." She whispers. " "Uhh......let me call Keaton and i'll tell you." "Okay." She sits down on my bed. I thought she was going to leave but whatever. I dial Keaton's number he answers on the third ring

"Hey." He says "Hey what time should we come? I wanna come when everyone's asleep but I wanna make sure you're still up." I can hear him chuckling "Haha i'll stay up late so I know you got here." He says "Okay thanks Keaton we will leave at 4am well I have to pack see you later." "Okay thats fine you're welcome Kenzie see you later." He says then hangs up. "Well little sis we are leaving at 4am." I say "Okay yay finally only 8 more hours then we're free from mother." "Yeah but the thing is what happens when she finds out we're gone? Well you know what never mind she doesn't know Keaton so we're okay." I say "Okay." She replies. I start to pack more I pack my shorts,pajamas,tanktops,shirts,alarm,stuff like that. I go in Chloe's room to check on her packing her closet is empty dressers empty she even takes her Ed Sheeran poster. I love her poster. "Are you all packed?" I ask. "Yeah I even brought my poster!" "Okay well we have 6 more hours so lets say goodnight to mother and tell her we're going to sleep." She laughs. "Haha but we're not sleeping though hahaha." I roll my eyes and smile "You moron." I say. We head to mothers room "Goodnight mother." Chloe says. Haha. "Goodnight Natasha." Chloe looks confused "I'm Chloe." She says. "Oh yeah yeah whatever." Mother says. I gave Chloe a look to tell her no to worry. She nods. "Night mother." I say "Night." She says. Finally 4am comes around and we check on mother. She's passed out. So we get in the car and drive Chloe turns on the radio and The A Team by Ed Sheeran comes on I turn it up and we sing loudly

"Now they say she's in the class A Team stuck in daydream been this way since eighteen but lately her face seems slowly sinking wasting crumpling like pastries and

they scream the worst things in life come free to us."

Then we arrive at Keaton's house. "Wow!" Is all Chloe can say I nod my head in agreement and smile. We head to the door.
