Chapter 17, Kathryn, I love you

***LAST CHAPTER BEFORE FLASHBACK RECAP***

"Wow, he must really like her to let someone else drive his car." Jaybee tells me hen we are alone in my car. "This isn't the way we came, is it?"

"Nope, ts the way to my favorite place in California."

"Where?"

"You'll see." I tell him.

***Kathryn's P.O.V.***

I turn on the the CD that is in my stereo. It was a Falling in Reverse CD and as soon as I turned the volume on, we were engulfed in the song that was playing. A few songs later we were there. It was dark and we ould barely see, thank god I had been here so many times that i knew my way around everything.

"Can yo please tell me where we are going? Is it someplace in the woods? Is it pretty?" Jaybee asked as I started walking toward my place, holdig his hand. "Please tell me. Please!" He starts hopping like a little kid and begs again."I pormise I will be good an do my chores and not bother you for the rest of the day!" He says as I shake my head and laugh.

"Now, Johan, we talked about this. You can't beg for something until you do your chores. Which, i mght add, are still undone." I say in a motherly voice, meaning something not so motherly but not the dirty either.

"But, Kathryn, what chores have you done lately?" He asks, knew exactly what he was going at, he same things I was. I looked at him playfully, then I suddenly let go of his hand and ran. I hide behind a tre, 5 feet away from him, but t was too dark to see me. "KATHRYN! HIS ISN'T FUNNY! PLEASE, KATHRYN, I CAN'T SEE!" Jybee calls to me.

"But, Jaybee, it is so fun to tease you! Hey! Walk 3 steps left, then go 10 strides forward." I tell him, knowing he would. He tought he was going to get me, but he was in for a treat when he sees what I gave him directions too.

"Kathryn." Jaybeee says, more calmly. "You are-" I cut him off by walking in front of him and kissing him.

"I hoped you would like it." I say as look over at the view. I was starig a the most beatiful lake in all of California. I had the clearist water youcould have ever seen and was surrouned by plant and flowers of so manydifferent colors, I look back at him, but he wasn't looking at the lake, he was looking at me. "Jaybee? Aren't you going to look?" I ask him.

"Why? I can't see the point, nothing will be as beautiful to me as you in this moon light." He said adn took my hand, walking us over to the sand near the endge of the water. I couln't help but blush as I looked at him and watch him, as if he finally noticed that we were not the only thing in the univres, he looked at the lake. "It is very pretty, but still no compintion to you, Kahyn." As he said this i couldn't help but blush again.

"How can you say that?" I ask him.

"How can you know believe that I am telling the truth?" He asks me back. I was speechless, so I leaned in close and kissed his forehead, then his nose, then his lips, and for the 3rd time that day, i felt a way that I had never known before. I had known Jaybee a total of 3 days, but i knew I loved him. And trust me, it wasnt anything like those fairytales that ha were everything felt perfect and happy, no it scared me more than anything, more than those fihts my parents had, more than ghost or killers or anything the world might hold. I was scared that I would never be the same whem he went back to Sweden, that he would never talk to me, think of me, or even remeber me.

"Jaybee?" I said as i pulled away.

"Yes?" He saysas if still in a dream, he opened his eyes and looked at me.

"I-i.......I think I love you. No, I know i love you." I say before glancing down at our interlocked hands. With the other hand he pulled my face back to look at him.

"I love you too, Kathryn." He says before he leans in to kiss me again. He plls back, all to quickly, and looks at me. "I don't want to leave you, I wnt to stay here, In California. The guys will understand, I know they will." He says, hopeful.

"If you can' stay, I will go back with you." tell him, not thinking, just actting, but I knew that I ment what I had just said, and I knew that he had too. I cuddled up to him and he wrpped his free arm around ,even though he was a few inches taller than me, we here face to face and nothing had felt better, nothing.
