~Jamie~

"Do you think something could've gone wrong?" I asked my friend. Who sat beside me at a cold, November football game.

"Honestly, I'm not sure. He said it was about her recovery? Correct?" She answered.

"Well he didn't seem to be looking forward to it. I'm just worried that it is something bad, and my mom will be really upset if anything happens to her." She nodded.

We both sat in thought for a few minutes.

I was really worried about my sister, we've never talked, but if we did I already know we would be best friends.

I flexed my fingers, which were unbelievably cold in the thick mittens I had on.

I dressed as warm as I possibly could, my school hoodie, my favorite pair of black sweatpants, mittens, a thick head band, and I also left my hair down to keep my neck warm.

My head band was already covering my ears, which were luckily warm.

I also slipped on a pair of gray uggs.

Mason, one the other hand, was not to bothered in this 28° weather.

We were both twinning. Minus her wearing a thick head band and mittens.

We did plan wearing the hoodie, sweatpants, and uggs, since that's people at our school do to show who our friends are.

But, the tradition is to only dress alike at the football games. If you did in school, it wouldn't count.

Of course it's a stupid tradition, some Seniors came up with it years ago.

It was passed down every year, and everyone seemed to like it in a way.

I watched as a member of our school football team made a touchdown.

The audience screamed with joy while me and Mason did nothing, our depressed mood over taking our actions.

The game only had seven more minutes before it was over.

I decided to text my mom and ask her if she was coming to get us, or if she was still stuck at the photo shoot.

She replied within a minute, telling me she was unfortunately still stuck at work and would most likely still be there for a few more hours.

The girls and her have been gone since early this morning. I have been alone all day but was grateful that my friend would be providing me company tonight.

We were having a sleep over for the first time in months.

The girls were either to caught up in work or Mason wasn't at her mom's house.

Her parents were divorced, and when she was with her dad she couldn't come to a friends house because he lives about an hour away.

But, tonight she got to stay over because he wasn't able to watch her this weekend, due to a work trip.

Her mom gladly agreed to letting us have our sleep over, as long as the girls were ok with it. And in return, they gladly accepted too.

The game was soon over and our school won, 67-49. The blechers were soon empty from all the people that once occupied them.

Mason and I soon made our way out of the stadium, we were told to wait till most of the mess was already out on the main roads.

They were more over precious about cars since the accident.

Once we were satisfied with the traffic level, we slowly made our way towards my house, which was just down the street from the stadium.

Neither of us talked the whole way, for the silence was comfortable and welcoming.
