The bell rang and Chloe emerged from her Calculus class, looking for her friend with blonde hair and grey eyes.
She smiled once she saw her friend, who had on a white shirt with baggy jeans and black skater shoes. Plain, but it suited her well.
This girl was named Emmy Jameston. However, Emmy likes to go by Ronnie. Ronnie was born into a rich family and her mom is an actress while her dad was a successful lawyer. Ronnie lives in a big mansion hidden behind the woods a few blocks away from the school. Nobody knows where it is and Ronnie's glad for that.
Chloe waved wildly.
"Ronnie!" Chloe called out as she approached her.
She looked up from her breakfast burrito and stared at her.
"Hey." she stated simply.
Chloe laughed.
"Ronnie, you're always like this: You bring some kind of breakfast item to school with you. When I first met you in fifth grade, you had a plate of bacon next to you in Art class." Chloe pointed out.
Ronnie rolled her eyes.
"Whatever." she said as she bit into her breakfast burrito.
Chloe said nothing as they walked to Home Economics together.
"So! How are you and your stepbrother holding up?" Ronnie asked.
Chloe groaned, not wanting to have another recap of this morning playing through her mind once again like how it was in both her Calculus and World History.
"Not good. I just broke up with Tyler and Aidan likes annoying me, like always." Chloe pointed out while rolling her eyes.
Ronnie scoffed.
"Guys are always like that, Chloe. One day, Aidan will be like Tyler. A complete jerk." she took another bite out of her breakfast burrito. "That is why I choose to not fall in love." Ronnie stated defiantly.
"But, you so know that James caught your heart." Chloe teased.
A slight blush could be seen on Ronnie's face as she took another bite out of her burrito.
"No way." she stated, which made Chloe laugh just as two guys walked up towards them.
A frown replaced the cheerful look on Chloe's face once she noticed that Aidan was one of the guys.
They both approached the two blondes.
"Hello, lady and Chloe." Aidan said, considering Chloe not a lady at all.
Chloe felt like strangling him, but she then caught sight of James Anderson, the guy the two girls were just talking about.
James Anderson was the football quarterback for the Jackson High Ravens. He was a really good quarterback and the team thinks of him as their secret weapon. He used to be a nerd that nobody understood or noticed at all back in elementary school. However, when he tried out for the team in seventh grade, everyone liked him. All of the girls drooled over him while the guys stared at him in envy. Nobody ever thought that a geek could turn into a prep at all. Well, James did.
Ronnie fell in love after Homecoming for the sophomores and James did, too. However, they refuse to tell or to take in the truth at all.
James had on a Boston Celtics shirt with brown cargo shorts and white Nike shoes.
"Hey, James." Chloe greeted.
"Hey." he greeted.
He then looked over at Ronnie with a shy smile on his face and waved.
