Chapter 1|| Where am I?~

=Lauren Parker=
"I can't believe this Robert!,"I whined to my best friend Robert Meyerson, who was sitting comfortably on my bed. "My parents don't even trust me to be alone while they are gone! They insist I stay with their friends!" I continued. That very morning my mother told me that she and dad would be gone on a business trip for 4 weeks, and they specifically told me that I will stay at one of their friends' house. I looked in the mirror as I put the finishing touches on my makeup. "You wouldn't seem like the one to whine so much Parker." He said as he covered his ears and rolled his eyes. I just ignored him and got ready for school. When I was easy I announced it to Robert, who seemed relieved that I was finally done, and grabbed my bright blue backpack. I giggled as he stumbled to get down the stairs. The sound of My other best friend, Elle, screaming for us to get going. I rushed to get to the car as Robert followed close behind me.

"Sup Elle. Sorry for the wait, Robert kept on nagging me about what outfit I should where." I sighed as I looked over him.

"Well, your the one who took a while fixing your makeup miss Beauty queen,"He scoffed as he looked over at me. "Besides, it's not like I would let you leave the house like that." He added while rubbing his head. I giggled at his bickering, it was funny when me and Robert bickered, we didn't do it often so I couldn't help but laugh when we did. As Elle scowled at us and continued driving to school.

When we finally got there, everyone parted the path for Adam and his goons. "I wonder what trouble they have caused now." I mumbled as I joined everyone else. "Parker, your coming with me." He said,avoiding to look at my face. I just shrugged at my friends and followed him. He led me down the giant hallway, while his posse was following behind. Everything was quiet until he finally stopped walking and turned to face me.

"Listen Parker, I don't know who told you to come live with me while your parents are gone but don't expect any support from me, you will stay away from my room and from me." He said in a low voice, he was so close to my face that his green eyes seem to be the only thing I see.

"Adam, I didn't choose to live with you, actually, I wouldn't ever think that I would be moving in with you. And I have a name, it's Lauren. Got it? Because if you want me to leave you alone, then you leave me alone. Now we are even." I said in the same low voice he had. I flipped my hair back and walked away from the glaring brunette. The hall started to fill up with students, all eyes on me as I walked away from Adam and his shady looking friends, Alex Phennel, Chase Mathews, and Reese Knight, all glaring at me with their mouths open. I could hardly believe I did that myself.

I walked over to Elle and Robert, who were also in shock. "what was that Lauren!?" Elle asked me, breaking the silence between us. I just shrugged and put a polite smile on my face. As I walked to my class, I thought about what Adam said. I also thought about how close he was to my face, I could have kissed him, but I rather would have died. I smile at the thought of Adam feeling threatened by a happy go lucky girl, like me. As I zoned out I barely heard the bell rang as everyone shuffled to get to the next class. I just looked at the board that was jotted with notes that I wasn't even on the planet for. I just shrugged and went about my business.

~TIME SKIP TO THE END OF THE SCHOOL DAY~

I hurried to Elle's car. "I still can't believe it," she said as I got situated in the back seat. "I mean how could school sweetheart, Lauren Parker, stand up to the school's bad boy." She Added when Robert got into the car.

"Elle, it wasn't anything serious, he just tried to threaten me but I saw through it." I shrugged as she rolled her eyes in disbelief. Robert said nothing, he just stood there staring at his shoes. I didnt feel like questioning it because, well, he is my friend and I don't want to embarrass him.

"Lauren...I-I...never mind." He said as he looked away from me,fidgeting, he seemed deep in thought. I ignored him and looked at my cellphone. A few texts but nothing too out of the normal.

"Oh yeah, before I forget...you have to drop me off at Adam's house." I said to Elle. She nodded solemnly before making her way to the large townhouse Adam's family owned at the richest neighborhood in town. I knocked on the door as I watched Elle drive away from me. My parents were already on the plane by now so it didn't matter if I just left. Before I turned around to leave, who else should answer the door but a shirtless, Adam Collins? I just looked away, I felt my cheeks get red as I glimpsed at him. I just walked in myself while trying not to stare at him. He just glared at me as he sighed in annoyance and showed me to the guest room. I walked into the room, Adam left me alone as I settled down.

The room was bright and cozy,  the sheets were a light shade of blue, and the curtains and rug were navy blue. There was even a private bathroom. I looked around, they really were wealthy! To think that a guy like Adam lived in such a nice place. I opened the door a crack to look at Adam's side of the hallway. Being the loud person he is, his door was fully open and he was playing loud music, I couldn't
Figure out the words due to the loud volume. I just shut my door again, I took my laptop out of my suitcase and placed it on the white painted desk. I filled the large closet with my clothes as I tried my best to block out the Ruckus coming from the next room.
