Liz awoke to the sound of crickets. It was really loud, they must be inside. Liz yawned and opened her eyes, to them realize she was in the old cabin.
"That's right, I'm not at home anymore..." Liz muttered to herself. Liz saw an open book on her lap, the one she had been reading. Liz looked around. Almost everyone was gone, the only ones still here were Liz and Sally, who's head rest on her shoulder, still asleep. Smile was also still here, but he was awake now, and on the couch next to Liz, looking up at her.
Where is everyone? Zero, Jack, Ben, and Jeff?
Liz saw that there was no light coming in through the shattered windows, it was also cold. Liz shivered as she got up, resting Sally's head next to Smile, who stared up at her curiously. Liz put the book on the coffee table, and found a ragged but soft blanket to let over Sally. Could Sally even get cold? Liz put the blanket on Sally then walked into the kitchen so see if anyone was there. Liz ignored the smell as much as she could, then left as soon as possible when she saw no one there.
Liz decided to go for a walk, a nice midnight stroll wouldn't be so bad?
Liz silently slid past the 'door', careful not to wake the sleeping child. Smile just stared at her, then got up and followed. Liz walked with Smile by her side, had he come to keep her safe? Gosh... Liz asks a lot of questions!
Liz didn't know how long she had been walking, but she eventually made it to a road, which had houses all along it's black, cold roads. Liz walked on the side walk, Smile walking close to her side, when she saw him... Josh. His blond hair stood out through the night, almost glowing. He was walking right towards her and Smile. Liz pet Smile's head, telling him not to be too protective, or kill him.
"What are you doing out so late, Lizzy." Josh grinned when he saw her. Liz's red hair fell in front of her blushed face, but she brushed it away nervously. "J-Just taking a walk..." Liz whispered, blushing even more. "I didn't know you had a dog?" Josh looked down at Smile, it was too dark for him to see his scared smiling face, but Josh saw his glare. "Is he mean?" Josh asked, now looking at Liz again. "N-No, he's just... umm protective." Liz came up with an excuse.
"Oh, what's his name?" Josh took a step forward, causing Smile to growl. Josh might have heard of him, so she has to make up a name, "Ummm, Sam... his name is Sam." Liz said quickly. Smile looked up at Liz, almost annoyed."What a cute name, almost as cute as yours." Josh grinned at her. Liz's face turned almost as red as her hair. Liz was about to answer when an ear piercing scream came from behind them, and a young man, maybe about his late twenty's, was running towards him, a deep wound deep in his jaw and side. "R-RUN!" The man screamed but was silenced when he was shoved to the ground. Liz gasped when she saw Jeff looming over the man, an evil grin across his scarred face.
Jeff looked up to see Liz, and his face filled with curiosity "Liz?" Jeff said quietly, but was able to be heard by Liz and Josh. Josh looked at Liz, "Y-You know this guy!?". "N-NO!" Liz glanced at Jeff, wishing he would understand. Josh grabbed Liz's arm and began to run, pulling Liz with him. Smile stood where he was, while Jeff just shrugged and went back to his victim, stabbing the mans back and began to carve a smile in his face.
Liz tripped over nothing and toppled to the ground, Josh's grip letting go. Josh stopped and turned around to look down at Liz, "Come on, get up, your going to get us caught!". Liz's heart lurched as she heard those words. It wasn't her fault, it was the stupid curse, messing up her life. Josh pulled her up and they ran into an ally. "Are you ok?" Josh asked, looking Liz in the eyes now. Liz nodded and Josh seemed to sigh with relief.
Liz noticed Smile was gone, he must be with Jeff, but Josh didn't seem to notice. Josh seemed a lot calmer, "I heard about your mom, and your family, I'm really sorry." Josh looked sympathetic. Liz felt tears begin to well up in her eyes at the thought of her mother. Then her thought shifted to her father, where was he? Liz shoved her feelings away.
"Who are you staying with, you know, since your house is kind of..." Josh asked. Liz didn't know how to answer, "W-With my cousin." Liz lied. "Oh, are you going to be in school tomorrow? Your friends seemed a little down since you weren't there?" Liz looked up at Josh, is all he could think about the past? "I-I don't know..." Liz looked down, "I think I should head... to my cousins, they'll be getting worried." Liz wanted to get out of here. "Do you want me to walk you home?" Josh took a step forward. "N-No, that's ok." Liz didn't really want to be around anyone right now, even Josh. "But there is still that guy out..." Josh began but was cut off, "Ill be fine, Ill see you later." Liz hugged herself and began to leave, Josh still standing in the ally, watching Liz as she went.
Once Liz was out of Josh's sight she ran, her red hair resting on the breeze. As Liz got into the forest, she slowed her pace and began to walk, she walked the rest of the way, her mind on nothing.

As Liz made it to the old cabin, she walked inside to see almost everyone there, except Slendy. Liz didn't pay any attention to them until Jeff stopped in front of her, causing Liz to practically run into him. "What were you doing out so late?" Jeff grinned, his voice sounding curious and mischievous. "J-Just taking a walk." Liz stuttered. "Oh really, then who was that boy you were hanging out with?" Jeff got closer into Liz's face, his grin widening. Liz saw zero look over at her, then everyone else. "That's none of your business." Liz got a little annoyed and began to walk towards the girls bedroom.
Jeff shrugged and went to sit on the couch, Zero looked after Liz, who stopped in her tracks as Ben turned on the TV and the news came on. A reporter said... "Two days ago, there was a terrible fire at the Lucket's house. Mrs. Lucket has sadly died in the fire. There has been rumors that the fire was started intently, but was soon found out that it was a complete accident. Mr. Lucket has been devastated ever since the fire. The Lucket's had a daughter who went missing after the fire..." a picture of Liz appeared on the screen appeared. "Lizzy Lucket has gone missing, so anyone who sees her, or has seen her these last few days, please contact the police immediately." Everyone but Liz and Zero gasped in shock at the sight of Liz. Zero looked at the splintered floor, acting guilty. The news began to talk about the recent kills that had happened, some looking to be done by Jeff, others not.
Zero saw Liz's hands clenched into fists, but she just continued walking and when she got to the door, she opened it and slammed it shut after her. Sally looked after her, "Lizzy doesn't seem very happy...". "Thanks for stating the obvious..." Jeff looked back at the TV, feeling exited now that his kills were on the news.
Zero went and sat on the couch next to Jeff, leaning his head back and sighed. What had he done?
