"Well I guess this is it." I say putting the last bag in the backseat of my black four door jeep.
"I'll miss you." Sydney, my best friend, says hugging me.
"I'll miss you too. I'll call as soon as I get in!" I say getting into the driver seat and shutting the door, turning on the engine.
"I love you!" Sydney says over the noise of the engine.
"I love you too!" I say through the open window before pulling out of the driveway and heading toward the interstate.
After my parents kicking their out of the house unexpectedly, I immediatly called my childhood best friend, Scott McCall. As soon as Scott had calmed me down enough, he offered me the guest bedroom in his house which of course I said yes, considering I had no where else to go. So thats where we are today, driving 8 hours to Beacon Hill's California, starting a new life, in a new town, at a new school, with new friends. Should be interesting.
"Shit." I say under my breath, realizing I forgot to get gas and text Scott I was leaving. I pull into the nearest gas station and text Scott before getting out and pumping the gas. I run inside to the store and buy a Pepsi and a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup and my gas, before running back out and starting my car. I sigh and pull back out on the road.. This will be one long drive.
It was late, around 10 at night, and I was almost into Beacon Hill's when all of a sudden something hits the front of my jeep. I only got a quick look at it. It looked human, but at the same time it didn't? I groan and unbuckle my seatbelt and hop out to check out my hood. "Are you kidding?" I sigh and run my hand across the huge dent on my bumper. "This just freaking sucks." I say getting back into my car, turning it back on and kept driving until I got to Scott's house.
"Ari!" Scott says, running over to my jeep.
"Scott!" I laugh and throw my arms around his neck, "I missed you!" A small jolt, more like a spart, ripples through my body on contact. 'Weird' I think to myslef.
"I missed you too!" He laughs, wrapping his arms around my waist.
"Woah... What happened to your jeep?" Another voice asks.
"I hit something like five miles out of town. It was weird, didn't even look like an animal.." I shake my head and walk over to the other boy. Out of the corner of my eye I see Scott's eyes get wide and he pulls out his phone to text someone.
"I'm Stiles by the way. Sucks about your car.." Stiles tells me.
"Ari and I know. Just got a new paint job. You guys know any good machanics?" I ask the guys.
"Yeah, we'll take you in tomorrow, but for now lets get you and your stuff inside because my mom is dying to see you." Scott laughs and I open up the back door and we all grab some bags, not that I had much.
"Ari!!" Melissa says hugging me as soon as I stepped through the door.
"Hey Melissa! I've missed you too! Thanks for letting me stay." I say hugging her back.
"It's no problem at all. If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask!" She smiles at me.
"I won't!" I say walking up the stairs behind Scott and Stiles.
"So this is your room. Mines right across the hall." Scott tells me.
"Thanks Scott." I smile and walk into the room with all my stuff before shutting the door.
Slowly but surely I found a place for eveything and got settled in. I sat down on my bed and sighed. This is weird, not being in my room where everything is so familiar. 'This is for the best,' I tell myself, 'would you rather be sleeping on the streets?' I groan and lay back on my bed, shutting my eyes. I wish my life was back to the way it was two weeks ago.
A/n: thats Ari to the side!
