Chapter 9
Niall's POV~
After the movie had ended Cindy had retuned back to the hotel room and said it was fine if I slept over as long as - and i quote- "no funny business horan, I don't want to be the one telling Juliana's parents she got pregnant on a hotel sofa."
That women is crazy...
I still couldn't get my head wrapped around what Giselle had told me " it's not my story to tell, I'll let her tell you, when she's ready"
What did she mean by that?
What story?
I sighed and ran my hands through my hair, I gently took Juliana off my shoulder and laid her down on the couch, placing a light blanket over her. I took off my shoes and relaxed into the love seat, instantly falling asleep.
I was woken up when I heard what seemed like... Whimpers? I ignored it, trying to go back to my unconscious state, but soon the whimpers turned into screams, that I recognized as Juliana's. my eyes quickly snapped open and met a crying Juliana, still asleep.
Her arms and feet were thrashing and she kept mumbling words I couldn't make out... I shook her shoulder trying to wake her up. That didnt work.
"JULIANA,JULIANA!"
"WAKE UP!"
I screamed trying my best to get her to open her eyes. She quickly came back to sense and woke up, looking confused at first but then pulling me into her small body. She was shaking uncontrollably, crying in my chest, her fist clutching my shirt, almost afraid to let go. I tried to get her to calm down but nothing I did was working.
She wiggled out of my arms and ran to something behind me, or should I say someone. Giselle and her slid to the ground with their arms wrapped around eachother. Gisselle was rocking, the still crying Juliana in her arms, they were having a quiet conversation that I couldn't quite make out, all I heard was "Jordan."
Who's Jordan?
Is That one of her brothers?
Nah, it couldn't be, she wouldn't be having a nightmare. Would she?
Is it her boyfriend? Maybe her Ex?
My blood boiled at the thought of her having a boyfriend, wait, I shouldn't be jealous.
Giselle sat Juliana on the couch next to me, " Who's Jordan?" I asked hesitantly. I could see tears brimming in her eyes, "Hes the bastard that killed my uncle." Giselle spoke.
I could see the tears falling down Juliana's cheeks, I took her hand in my and started rubbing gently circles with my thumb, I saw her visibly relax.
She went on, finally able to speak.
My head was spinning, how can I have not known? I knew her dad died but I never imagined that he had been murdered. I could only imagine the pain Juliana went through. Having a death in a family is hard, but when you watch you're dad being stabbed, while trying to protect his family, then have him die in your arms. I was amazed at how strong she was. She was only thirteen for crying out loud! And her sister only being one, that broke my heart. I felt bad, horrible, after she finished her story.
She made a promise to her father and here she was completing it, he would be proud. After all she's been through, she still manages to be happy and successful, I don't think I would've ever been able to do what she did.
After some tears, apologies, and explaining, we all decided to go back to sleep. Juliana left to get cabbages when I decided to check if I had any messages, I pulled out my phone, and was surprised by how many text and missed calls I had all from the lads. The most recent was one from Louis,
