Can I just say something?

I've got friends who are in their mid-teens, struggling with their lives.

Their lives.

15 and 16 year olds thinking of the inevitable ending coming sooner and solving their pain.

What the hell?

How is this society so fucked up that it ruins people's lives?

Okay, yeah, there are more important things like wars or how Donald Trump is gonna ruin America.

But come on, can we stop and observe for a minute?

I just had to talk my friend out of suicide. I had my best friend who's attempted multiple times, another best friend who thinks about it constantly.

Sigh.

Can you guys promise me something?

The next time you see/hear someone struggling, please try to help them.

I've been there, and it sucks.

I think it's completely ridiculous how there are so many people struggling with suicide and they're worrying about a stupid ass football team.

Yeah, I get it. The rams are moving, holy shit alert the press.

They waste their money on trying to keep them in St Louis, they're gonna move anyway.

I just.....I feel like a better use of money is funding a bigger and better suicide prevention hotline or help.

I've got so many friends who are so petrified of telling their parents/other friends that they bottle it up and suffer. (Please don't do that, by the way).

I needed to say something where so many people have the ability to read and voice their opinions.

So, yeah, call me a freak. Call my friends and me weak. But there are real people who struggle with depression, anxiety, OCD, ADHD.....it's awful.

The next time you come across someone who is calling for help, don't tell them they're attention seekers. Don't tell them they're emo, gay, fags-any of that. I gagged writing those.

They are drowning in a pool of their own thoughts and they need help.

All you have to do is:

A. Comfort them. They reached out or you did, so now it's time to take action.

B. Get them help. Suicide prevention lines are one Google search away.

C. Refer them to a therapist or counselor. They need help, quick. Do something!

I'm so sorry that I disappointed you-this isn't a new book. But I felt it was an extremely important topic that needed to be shown to the world.

People are struggling so much, and it costs no money to be a kind person and help.

Don't ever tell someone to kill themselves, don't make fun of them for those thoughts, just help.

Please.

If anyone ever needs to talk, my chats are always open. You can reach me on kik or instagram, just ask and I'll be there. Don't be shy if you need a helping hand!

Thanks so much for reading, guys.

If you could help spread the word of this, that would be so amazing!
