TWDG Luke x Reader oneshot

Got You

The morning was cold and foggy. You got up rubbing your eyes. You sat on the bed and you wandered what to do with Luke. You knew that he was something more than a friend. You felt something for him. You heard a familiar voice, who said:

- Everyone get down! Meeting!

You casually walked out of the room to the kitchen. You saw Luke. He sent you a gentle smile. You felt yourself blushing. It was always like that. Does it mean...?

- Someone has to go to the lake and get some fish.

- I will go, after all, it's not hard. - You said.

- I'll go with you, just in case. It's safer for us to go both. - You heard Luke. He looked at you with his brown eyes. They were so beautiful... He poked your arm, smiling. You did the same. You were always best friends. You loved to spend time with him. When everyone went to their rooms, Luke said to you:

- I'll come after you in a moment, but first I will take the grid for fish.

- Ok. - You said. Soon, you heard knocking. You opened the door and saw brunette with an orange sweatshirt and a smile. He took over your shoulder with one hand and said:

- Ladies first. You smiled coming out of the room.

The road to the lake was beautiful. There was a forest around and the path was strewn with stones. Sometimes you wandered how everything how it would have looked like if there was no apocalipse. You walked pensive, with eyes on the ground. You felt the eyes on your face.

- Is everything okay, [Y/N]?- Luke asked, worried.

- Yeah, yeah... I just wonder,  how it would have looked like if there was no apocalipse...

- If there was no apocalipse, I'm sure that we would never meet. - He said, looking straight into your [E/C] eyes. You did the same. You never wandered what would happed in you never meet. Luke saw that you're sad and unexpectedly took you in his arms, carrying you bridal style. He started to run with you.

- Luke, stop! - You laughed, burrying your face into his neck. It was so awesome feeling...

Luke stepped in the water, which reached to the knees. You were suprised that he wasn't afraid of getting there in dry clothes. He put you on the ground, you felt cold water pouring into your shoes.

- Thanks. - You said sarcastically.

- Your welcome. I think you got a little wet, (your cute nickname). - He said, smiling. When he didn't look, you splashed him with water.

- I think you got a little wet, Lukey. - You said, knowing that he hated this nickname. He started to chase you. You didn't see a little waterfall and you almost fell, but you felt a pair of hands on your waist. You turned around and heard a voice saying:

- I got you. And I'm never letting go.

You felt yourself blushing. You couldn't believe that it was happening. Was he going to...?

Luke stared right into your eyes. You took his back in your hands. His face slowly approached yours. His lips were only inches drom yours. Finally, you connected in a perfect kiss. You wanted this moment to last forever. Your lips parted and Luke sent you a smile. You felt a tear on your face. It was a tear of happiness. He wiped it away and said:

- Don't cry. I'll always be there for you. I wanted to say it long ago... I love you.

You hugged and you wanted to stay like this forever.

- I love you too, Luke. I always will. - You said.

You forgot about the fish. Only you mattered then.
