Hi I'm Harriet, I'm just a normal girl living a normal life, with a best friend but nothing else. Georgia is one of the best friends you could have. She has always been there for me, although I'm not sure what other best friends could be like as I don't have much experience there. A few years ago I realised that, apart from my family, Georgia is about all that I have. As much as I would like to have tons of friends like Georgia, the people I have to spend most of my life with are either liars, quiet and nerdy, ultra popular like Georgia or needy and repeat everything you say like a five year old. Because of this, Georgia is the only friend I have but at least she is a good one. One day Georgia was ill and people completely ignored me. I think my own light is darker than being in Georgia's shadow. That day I tried to stand up for myself but people just shot me down; maybe Georgia is the only reason I am considered as 'popular'.
Don't you just hate it when people are famous for being related to someone important yet others who always try their hardest never get their turn in the spotlight. I always try hard at school, the teachers like me and I get B's in most of my work, occasionally a C or an A. On the other hand, there's Georgia, perfect as always, never tries hard and the teachers hate her but the only grade she will ever get is an A*. Anyway that's just a fraction of the story between me and Georgia, but it would take years to untangle our friendship.
We met in primary school, where I was all alone playing in the sandpit and some of the older boys came and pushed me over. Georgia came over to me and helped me up, while we both giggled about what had happened. And just like that we were unseparable. Now we are in year eight and we aren't the youngest in the school anymore! I'm so excited to see what will happen this year because we can chill out now as we aren't being pressured to do well in year seven. God, last year was awful. I was only just allowed to stay in the school, because it's a grammar school and they have a certain standard, that was how badly I did. To be honest though, my family didn't expect me to do that well as I was always second best to Georgia.
We are quite close though, no matter of how jealous I am, Georgia giggles and my troubles go. We have sleepovers, which are always really fun, though it always seems to be me doing her hair, rather than her doing mine. Last time we had a sleepover we watched a 15 film and we almost got caught by her parents! It was the most fun I'd ever had! I'm getting a bit fed up of school now; the same things, people and teachers every single day. I need to stick at it though, as my life ambition is to be a primary school teacher.
I guess now you know a bit about me now, but that's only the beginning, there is so much more to it!Hi guys! As you now know, I have a new book for you to read!!! It's been ages since I have written anything on Whattpad and I have really wanted to start something new. Please don't expect me to update this frequently because I am always quite busy and it will probably only happen once a week!!! Please vote and comment!!!!!! Xxx
