Laurance's POV

It worked. We fell on the river.

I remember being here. When my parents got murdered. I remember jumping off the cliff and into the river. I didn't know the river was there at the time.

I saw Aphmau floating.

"Aphmau?" I said I went over to her. She had passed out and bleeding. It looked like a rock had hit her head. I grabbed her and took her to the cave in the cliff. I remember hiding in that cave too.

I quickly put her down and healed her wound with the stuf I had. I was able to disinfect the wound, but I didn't have anything to put around the wound. I took off my armor a cut a piece of my shirt off, big enough to wrap around the wound. I threw a small leftover cut shirt piece  on the.

"Please be okay. Please. Please be okay." I said worriedly. She was still breathing. She was gonna be okay, but it was gonna hurt when she woke up.

I rested for about 30 minutes and then decided to get a move. I put on my armor, and then carried her.  This trip was gonna take longer then it should have.

I looked for the path back up. There isn't that much land in this area. We walked for a bit until I found the way up back to the cliff. It was kind off  like a mountain, but it wasn't really steep at all. But it was hard. I could carry her fine, but carrying her plus her backpack which was probably heavier then me, plus having to climb up? It was a challenge.

I filled up a few bottles with water from the river and and I drank and entire one once I got to the top. I took about a five minute stop and went back to walking. I was heading towards the Phoenix Drop Alliance settlement. I imagined that's what the others were going for. I went back into the woods small woods. The trees covered the sun so it wasn't that bad.

I looked at Aphmau. She was pale. I was afraid she may not make it. But I didn't give up.

The woods aren't the same now. There's a pack of werewolves trying to kill us now. Everything was more dangerous. I wasn't sleeping tonight. Or any night until I get back. It was too dangerous.

The next morning I sat down. Was taking another five minutes. I put Aphmau down. I was about to check her breathing when I saw a blade put to my neck.

I looked at who was holding it. It was Vylad.

Vylad: Oh, Laurance. I'm sorry.

He put sword away. He looked at Aphmau and made sure she was breathing.

Vylad: What happened?

Laurance: There was a cliff and we were surrounded by them. Luckily, it was the same cliff that had river below it. I jumped with her, but she hit her head. I'm sure she'll be okay.

Vylad: Okay. Good. I came across Lucinda and Jeremiah. I'll tell them to come.

We talked to Lucinda, see if she had anything for Aphmau, but she didn't have anything. She didn't have a potion, and it was very hard to perform a spell without her familiar, Bigglesworth.

Lucinda: Dumb Bigglesworth. Always off with other owls.

Vylad put Aphmau on his horse and I got on a horse. Lucinda got on a horse with her guard. After we rested for a few minutes, we started going back to the settlement.

I really hope Aphmau's okay.
