Chapter four: The chained blade

Rake: "Wow, NLO looks great when you fly! Oh! Those must be Handy's troops. I better get down there"

I was impressed. Handy had taken this very seriously. His forces surrounded the cave. No exits were free, and there was no stone unturned. Arsenals of mages were aligned according to their specialties . The earth mages were searching for tunnels and the other mages were all ready for attack.

Earth mage: Sir, he has arrived

Handy: You are late!

You could see a vein popping out from his forehead.

Rake: I'm sorry handy, I spaced out a little while back. So, I see you have been making progress.

Handy: All exits have been blocked and my mage squad is ready. What now?

Rake: Now you leave it to me. Ready guys?

Amadeus: Yes.

Rake: Amethyst?

Amethyst: Yes.

*rake turns around and looks at handy's small army*

Rake: Your job is simple. Fist of all, don't go into the cave. If one of
you enters, you are as good as dead. Second of all, if by any chance an enemy slips through me and reaches the exit, you kill him on the spot. Understood?

Everyone: Aye!!!

Rake: Great. Now let's get this operation started.

Handy's POV:

Wow, this kid's something else. I still remember when he just started playing. He was a dedicated boy. Now, he can make my whole army excited just with a small speech! Man, I miss the old times.

*Aaaaaarghhh* *H-H-Help!!!!* *A Monster!!!!!* *My Arm!!!!*

Thunder mage: Handy. Are those...

Handy: Yeah. It seems my friend is literally bringing hell upon them. You can also smell the blood right?

Thunder Mage: Y-yes sir.

*Bandit comes crawling out of the cave*

Bandit: Pleashe shir, help me!

This guy is lacking an arm and a leg. What the hell is going on in that cave!?

Bandit: Pleashe shir, I can't hol... Urgh!

All shouts stopped, A giant sword attached by a chain flew out of the cave and had impaled the bandit. It started to slowly drag him back into the darkness.

Bandit: Nooo!!!! Pleashe!!!! I'll shtop!! I promishe!!! He Ishn't Human!!! Pleashe!!! Nooo!!!

*Slash*

Everything became so silent, you could hear the rattling of the leaves. We all looked at each other with terror in our faces.What the hell happened with my student?

Fire mage: S-sir, is he really your student?

Handy: I'm afraid so.

Rake's POV:

What a nice warm up. The smell of blood reeks in the air and I am literally covered in blood. I think it's time to go search for anyone who want to join. But first, I must clean up my armor.

Amadeus: Rake!!

Amethyst: Behind you!!

Bandit: Guess what's on the menu big boy, a sword up your thro...agh...ugh...uh...

An Icicle pierced the bandits throat. The bandit fell revealing a player with pale skin, blue eyes, and messy blonde hair. He still wore the "newbie robes"

Rake: Now who are you?

Logan: My name is logan. I was kidnapped along with some other players.

Rake: Well, thanks for saving my butt!

Logan: You saved mine!

Amethyst: Rake, this kid. He is strong

Amadeus: Yeah. I can feel it in his aura.

They're right. This guy has potential. I can see it in his eyes. Plus, he's got a nice sense of humor.

Rake: Logan, bring your friends out of this rathole. We have much to discuss.

Logan: You got it sir!

Rake: Please, call me Rake.

Logan: Yes sir Rake!

If this boy is just a beginner, then how can he use ice magic?

Rake, Logan, and the other players went out from the cave.

Handy: Logan? How did you get captured?

Logan: long story Mr. Handy.

Rake: you two know each other?

Handy: Yes. He learned ice magic, while trying to forge a sword with Ice properties. He has visited me for advice ever since.

Rake: Well, this only makes things easier.

Logan: What is easier?

Rake: Logan. I am creating a guild and need strong players in it. I want you to be one of them.

Logan: Are you serious?

Rake: Yeah! You saved me in there. If there is anyone who is qualified to go into my guild, It's you.

Logan: I, I don't know what to say. I'm not strong. Im weak.

Rake: Look Logan, it doesn't matter if you are weak or strong. The thing is you are part of a guild. And in this guild we will all become stronger together. So, wanna join?

Logan: I promise I will become stronger sir! I look forward to joining your guild!

Rake: Those are the words I wanted to hear.
