The Reason Love Is Hell

It's been about 2 years since me and Sara met, but this is the first year we don't have any classes together except for specials. I was really confused on why I missed her so much, I thought it was just because she was my best friend but I started to notice other things. I missed her smile, her laugh, her weirdness, her happiness....I missed her hugs, just straight up holding hands I missed. Then I thought I had a crush on her, and when ever we did brush each other, I felt a rush go through me or I felt electricity. But I'm a girl. I can't like another girl.....can I? I thought that all the time.

We still had lunch together but I saw her being teased by other girls so I ran as fast as I could and stepped between them and said

"If you so much as hurt her, I will kill you."

The girls looked at me terrified and Sara just looked at me and hugged me, I felt electicity jolt through me and I hugged back.

"Thanks that was awesome." She said looking at me. She grabbed my hand and we walked to our table and sat down, I blushed when she grabbed my hand and played it off like I was just hot.

"Hey you wanna come over today?" She asked.

"Sure"

After school...

When u got home off the bus the first thing I did was call her house. She didn't have a phone yet but I didn't either, plus we're still in like 4th grade.

"Hello?" Came a man's voice from the other side.

"Umm...hello. my name is Justice is Sara home?" I said a little nervous cause I didn't know the guy that well.

"Oh, yea hold on. Sara phone." I heard him say and heard the phone get passed to someone.

"Hey Sara it's justice can I come over?"

"JUSTICE!! Yesssss!! Ice been waiting for you!"

"Sorry, my bus is always late, anyway, I'll be there soon."

"Okay, BAIII!" she sounded so happy to have her best friend come over.

Before Justice left, she looked at herself in the mirror and sighed, then left the house going to Sara's.
