The "I Love You"

Sharon and Andrea went downstairs in the elevator talking about the latest case. The doors opened and Sharon's breathe caught seeing Andy's daughter sitting at an officer's desk. Stepping off the elevator she walked towards Nicole. Andrea following her.

"Nicole?" Sharon breathed.

"Sharon" Nicole said with a sob.

"What happened?" Sharon asked.

"He broke into my house" She said quietly.

"Who?"

"I don't know, he wore a mask. My neighbors heard it and called 911" She said as Sharon knelt down in front of her.

"Sorry mam you can't be here" An officer said Sharon looked at him. "Oh sorry Captain Raydor."

"This is Lt. Flyn's daughter." Sharon said.

"My apologies." He replied.

"Where is my dad?" Nicole asked.

"He's upstairs do you want me to get him?" Andrea asked.

"Could you? My husband is on his way but I just..."

"I'll get him don't worry." Andrea said with a soft smile before walking back to the elevator.

"Are you okay?" Sharon asked.

"Yeah just a little shaken up is all. I was home by myself and I was getting ready to make dinner. The boys were at their grandmothers for the weekend. I was supposed to be away too but the conference got canceled." Nicole explained. "Will they find him?" Nicole asked.

"I'm sure, you live in a subdivision where there are lots of camera's, one was bound to catch him or his car. Just tell the police everything you know, they'll take care of the rest." Sharon said, Nicole nodded.

"Plus your the daughter of one of our own." Sharon said with a smile.

"Babe" He husband called walking towards them.

"Hey I'm fine" She said standing to hug him.

"I should have been there." He said holding her.

"No honey it's fine, I'm fine." She said looking at him.

Andy stepped off the elevator with Andrea and Sharon looked at him.

"Sweetie, what happened?" He asked walking towards her.

"Some guy broke in when I was home alone. He didn't take anything and he didn't hurt me but just freaked me out is all." Nicole said with a sigh.

"I'll give you all some family time" Sharon said, Andrea nodded.

"Thank you" Nicole said hugging Sharon.

"No problem." Sharon said turning to Andy. "If you need me just call."

"I will" He said kissing her quickly.

They usually never kissed at work but she let this time slide past. She smiled walking out with Andrea. She hardly ate at dinner. They had gone out to discuss the case and romance and girl talk. Yes, Sharon Raydor had girl talk. She had gone to Andrea through her divorce with Jack and when Andy had his surgery and the blood clot. She was her friend and her listening ear. Sharon got home and the apartment was quiet, Andy hadn't texted her or called so she assumed everything went fine. Tossing her keys into the trey she hung up her coat walking towards the kitchen. Rusty was sitting at the dinner table eating some pasta.

"Hi" She said walking to the fridge.

"Hi mom" He said taking a sip of water.

"How was your day?" She asked.
