James stared at his reflection in the mirror combing his brown hair to one side, his emerald green eyes glinting back at him. Only one thought was going through his mind, today he was definitely going to get adopted.
After years of not caring he finally decided that the best solution for himself and everyone around him was to get the hell out of the orphanage. Immediately the thought struck him what if the people who adopt him are just as bad as the orphanage? He swayed the thought away and instead thought of all the positives. He would at least get a bed to sleep on on contrast to the cold stone floor of the basement, he would be able to eat all meals from breakfast to dinner as opposed to one glass of milk and a piece of bread once a week. But the best the thing of all was that he was able to live everyday without adding a bruise or scar to his body and bags forming dark layers underneath his eyes.
