I awake and repeat the same step process day in day out.
Everyone is happy, not a twitch not a shout.I was a happy bird and everyone knew my smile!
But somethings are misleading and only last a while.I couldn't take it, I was below the sky, no wings, a blackbird and she was high above.
I looked up at beauty, no deeper...yes, it was a beautiful dove.We are of same species, isn't that a plus? But I'm a blackbird and she a dove.
Yet so far , so close, we meet in sky many times but seems she knows me not of.And sometimes on day end while I cleanse, I add salt to my water, what a waste.
And though salt falls along the streamlines I still feel the taste. But at one point I ponder, are we truly free? If something doesn't work is it truly our choice to carry on?
Or maybe I'm wrong. Maybe I'm singing a stupid meaningless song.So up I went. Far beyond human normality.
It was sky high and the winds blew with atrocity. As I looked down I didn't frown. I smiled.
For what I'd done thus far was worth while. In my head so much played, all I could name.
For I knew when my flight was over, nothing would be the same.I started to descend and quickly eyes closed, I dosed.
When I reached the bottom my own messed up others clothes. But alas I had one last view.
Of something truly sad and dark, deep colored blue.Salt was in a stream on my bed.
I tried to reach out but nothing could be said. The Dove wasn't smiling, she had a frown.
I tried to speak but nothing, not a sound.Everything faded into pitch black, yes it was absurd.
But I knew I was wrong, A stupid blackbird.A truly stupid blackbird and now I had no control. The screen went blank and yes only me to thank.
I'm sorry I whispered.
I'm sorry My love.
I'm Sorry everyone
I'm sorry my precious Dove.Denouement.
