Lachina and I froze when we saw the two boys sitting there. Brandon's pure azure blue eyes were tracing along the drawing he was making. A lotus flower emerged from the many quick and precise strokes from Brandon's pencil. The blackette sitting next to him looked up from his drawing, an ocean sunset and saw us staring at them. Quickly, Lachina and I broke our gaze and started quietly discussing about the weather. The blackette blinked once or twice the went back to his drawing.

While I was chatting with Lachina I never let the blond out of my sight. I saw the way his eyes sparkled, the way he breathed in through his nose and out through his mouth. I also noticed all the small blue bruises that decorated his face and arms.

Out of the corner of my eye I saw that the blackette had some bruises as well. Are they both on the 'hit list'? I asked in my mind.

Lachina saw the question in my eyes and whispered, "Yeah, that blackette is Jonas Agallon, he used to be picked on so much there would be blue all over his face. That is, until Brandon stepped in. Brandon was a transfer at the begginning of the year, he was pretty popular but when he stood up to Brutus all of that popularity went down the drain. Brutus pretty much just gets to decide who has friends, or not. Anyway ever since then Brandon and Jonas have been best friends. They're rarely seen apart."

I replied, "You guys should seriously bunch together and put a stop to that bully. Seriously, what is he gonna do put a gun to your heads?"

Lachina stared pointedly at me. She was about to reply but she was interrupted by Mrs. Bradford, "Hello art class! How is everyone doing today?" She was answered with a hesitant chorus of 'good's and 'okay's. "Well," Mrs. Bradford continues, "Today we will be working on drawing people! Pick someone in the classroom to draw and draw them the best way you can. You can sketch, paint, sculpt, whatever as long as you try your hardest to make it as close to the real thing as possible. You may begin!"

I smiled at Lachina, "This'll be fun!" I got out my black sketch notebook and began to draw the outline of a face.

"Who are you going to draw?" Lachina asked me.

"Mrs. Bradford," I replied, " She's got that crooked nose and strange bawling so it'll be more of a challenge."

She smiled and exclaimed, "I don't really know who to draw... hmmmm..."

I smiled and gestured at Jonas with my pencil. Immediately, a light pink spread over Lachina's cheeks and she play punched me in the arm. I laughed and shot her a big smile.

As I went back to my drawing Lachina passed me a note that said: Was it really that obvious?

I smiled again and wrote back: He definitely is cute, but not quite my type. He's all yours! ; )

As Lachina read the note, more fuchsia swirled through her face. I giggled at the sight, then went back to my drawing. So her hair kind of sweeps slightly to the right, her pupils are pretty small but not microscopic, her crooked nose has a little dent in the bridge before it shoots straight out. I made more observations about Mrs Bradford's appearance.

As I saw Lachina's drawing a small smile crept its way onto my face. On her page was a perfectly outlined Jonas Agallon. His wispy black hair and piercing red eyes were balanced perfectly with the pale skin color Lachina had drawn.

I looked over at Jonas' drawing and I saw that he had drawn Brutus. It looked exactly like the guy but Jonas had added two devil horns and a forked tongue. Jonas showed his picture to Brandon who smiled brightly at the sight.

As Brandon moved his right arm slightly to the side I saw what he had drawn.

It was a girl with golden brown hair, soft brown eyes, and a bright blue butterfly peeked between the brown locks.

He had drawn me...
