As I walk down the street, I see life before me. Law's being passed on gay marriages, Hard to earn money and maintain a steady job, teens dropping out, getting pregnant.. And me? A kid with dreams that surpass wishes. Not the average teen to know how to smoke or roll a blunt before knowing how to tie a tie, Carrying around a baby at the age of 16 or even robbing.. But society is messed up.. Your judge by race and appearance. Still walking up the street with my head down, as I have thoughts of suicide but refusing to do so, because I have dreams to come true before my eyes. Sun has layed it's self down, and time for night to kick in.
It's dark.. Mama's waiting for me to come home. Smudging hopscotch markings on the floor, I reached to the steps infront of the house door.. before I turned the door knob, I saw blood prints on the door.. I knocked instead of opening the door. knowing it was already unlock. Papa came to the door with the most suspicious look I ever seen. Hey dad, how come your home early? He answered, but I didn't pay attention.. Looking at all the mess that was made, I was in shock of all the dishes mama never wanted to use were broken.. a favorite vase.. the couch torn up.. but where is she? where is mama dad? Stuttering, he said, Sle-Sle-Sleeping. I ran up stairs to her room.. Visions of the last time mama was beaten by dad.. why does he keep doing this to her.. I slowly opened her room door.. BANG! A Gun shot went off.. terrified, I ran into her room and hid under the bed for 30 mintues and no one made a noise.. I wonder if the coast is clear.. I got up from under her bed and tried to wake her up but she didn't move.. I touched her neck and found no pulse.. dad killed her..
I ran down stairs and found papa dead.. he killed himself before I knew what happened. I sat next to him till help came, I was moved to foster care.. and that's where my depression started.
