One Kiss (Niall Horan Fanfic)

Chapter 4

Jessica's pov

It's been two days since Niall kissed me and it's all I can think about. It was amazing, it was the best kiss I've ever had, considering it's the only kiss I've ever had, but it literally took my breath away. We haven't really made it official if we're a couple, but we definitely like each other. That kiss answered every question I had and got rid of any doubt. Tonight is our first official date and Niall is going to pick me up at 9:00 pm. I checked my phone for the time.

7:15 pm

Good that gives me enough time to get ready. "Jess, honey, when is Niall coming to pick you up again? " my mom yelled from downstairs "he's coming at nine " I yelled back. My mom didn't know about the party and I convinced Niall not to tell her, she thought I was at a friends house. I didn't want to tell her because I knew she would react the way Niall did, but I now see very clearly why she wouldn't want me going. I jumped in the shower and jammed to 'Try Hard' by 5 Seconds of Summer, which made me take longer in the shower because I always get caught up in the music. I got out and checked the time

8:15

Holy fudgecakes I've gotta hurry. I quickly got dressed in a simple blue summer dress and my converse and put on some light foundation to cover up whatever blemishes I have. I ran downstairs, I'm so excited! My mom called me into the kitchen, she said she needed to talk to me... oh boy. I found her cleaning, she always cleans when she's nervous, I thought she was going to rub a whole in the counter. Well I don't blame her, this is my first date and it's with a boy who's three years older than me, I thought she was taking it OK until seeing her in this state. " What is it mom? you said you wanted to talk to me " I said a little nervously

"Yeah sweety I just wanted to talk to you, um, you know I trust you, and I trust Niall, um, just don't do anything that you'll regret or anything like that ok "

"Mom, we're not going to do anything like that, he's just taking me to dinner "

"I'm sorry I guess I'm just nervous "

"I can see that " I motioned to the spot on the counter the was still scrubbing. I walked around to her side of the counter and wrapped her in a hug "it's ok mom, I'll be fine, I love you "

"I love you too baby " she pulled away from our hug "but remember tomorrow's Monday so be home by eleven ok "

"ok " I heard the doorbell ring and said goodbye to mom. I opened the door to see Niall standing there in a T-shirt that showed off his muscles, I giggled a little at the fact it had an American flag on it, he also wore blue jeans and converse. He looked amazing.

"hey, wow, you look beautiful "

"thanks, you don't look so bad yourself " he blushed, aaaawww!

"you ready "

"yeah let's go " we walked to his black range Rover and he opened the door for me, great now I'm the one blushing. He got in the car and started to drive. "So where are we going? "

"It's a surprise "

"Oh Niall, that's such a cliche! "

"Well most cliche moments are romantic and that's what I wanted tonight to be "

"you're so cheesy, but that's one of the many things I love about you "

"Oh really well what are some of the many things you love about me " he had the biggest smirk waiting for me to reply.

"Hmm, let's see, well, your hair, your eyes, your freckles, your smile "

"It looks a lot better since I got my teeth fixed doesn't it? "

"I've always loved your smile, crooked teeth and all" he looked over at me and smiled bigger than I thought was possible then returned his gaze back to the road. The car jolted signaling we stopped.

"Here we are " I looked out the window to see a blanket laid out on the ground with candles surrounding it and a picnic basket on it, all in front of a pond.

"Oh my gosh, Niall, you did all this? "

"Only the best for my girl " he leaned over and kissed my cheek before getting out of the car. He came around to my side, opened the door for me and helped me out. He held my hand and led me to the blanket, we sat down and he started unloading the picnic basket. After we finished eating we still had some time before I had to be home so we just laid down a looked up at the stars.

"Thank you so much Niall, tonight was perfect "

"Like I said, only the best for you " He turned his head to look at me then rolled onto his side, I just laid there looking into his eyes, he looked at my eyes then my lips and back to my eyes as if asking if it was ok, he started leaning in and he got so close I could feel his hot breath on my lips, he finally closed the gap between us and I felt his sweet lips on mine, the kiss didn't deepen much but it was still filled with passion and love. We both pulled away, after what felt like an eternity, a little breathless. "I better get you home " Niall drove me home and walked me to my door. "I'll be here in the morning to drive you to school "

"ok " he leaned in and pecked my cheek before walking to his car.

"Goodnight Jessica "

"Goodnight Niall " I went inside and up to my room, thinking about how perfect tonight was and how amazing Niall is.
