Alice & Xavier

"The weather forecast for today is sunny. The sun is shining and the birds are chirping and the clo...."

Xavier cut off the bored weatherman by switching to the next channel.

Alice sat next to him , cuddling as much as she could.
The older teen had his arm around her, tight as if she would run away if he let go, like Python around its prey.

" you dirty little bi...."
He changed the channel again.

" I'm gonna kill you you mot..."

He changed the channel again.

What was up with all these reality shows anyway? He pondered on the thought, while mindlessly switching channels.

He placed a small kiss on her forehead in between.

On a normal day, Alice's heart would have melted just at something as simple as that.

But today was not normal. Not for Alice anyway.

Everyday she craved for Xavier's touch , but today, she secretly wished he would disappear.

Disappear in the depths of the deepest ocean or in the largest jungle.
She wanted to push him away, but that would get him suspicious. And when Xavier is suspicious , he doesn't rest till he gets his answer.

So she sat there, praying that he would go away.

After a couple of minutes, which felt like an hour to her ,Alice's prayer was answered.

" gotta go to the bathroom, be right back" he said looking into her eyes,as if he knew what she was planning to do.

" mmm"

He finally removed his arm around her , slowly, as if teasingly. He left for the bathroom, but Alice didn't get up till she was sure.

The bathroom door clicked , confirming that Xavier would at least be gone for the next 5 minutes.

5 minutes is all I need. She thought.

She quietly tip toed to her destination.
This was wrong , and she felt it in her heart. If Xavier knew he would never let it go.

Deep down, she knew the real person she was disappointing the most was herself. But she couldn't help it. It was an addiction, a drug.

She climbed the counter and opened the top cabinet.

Xavier was washing his hands in the bathroom when he heard something fall. It sounded like glass.
He panicked. He cared about Alice , way more than he should . Some may even say he was over protective.

He rushed out , his hands still wet with traces of soap.
He entered the kitchen , only to find Alice in the floor, next to a broken pot.

She looked at him , wide eyed, like she just just been caught of doing something wrong.

They stared at each when finally tears formed in her eyes.

" I .... I tried. I tried so hard but I couldn't. It's too powerful for me to resist. I can't I just I ....."
She sobbed as Xavier stared at her.

At that moment , Xavier couldn't control his laughter anymore and bursted out as plopped down on the floor next to her.

" your so stupid" he said in between laughs and placed a small kiss on her lips, licking some of the chocolate from them.

" looks like miss-i-always-stick-to-my-resolution just broke her resolution." He said as Alice glared at him.

He ignored her and looked over to the broken pot in the side.

Must have knocked it over while reaching for the brownies. He thought.

" shut up." She snapped, still stuffing her face with the fudge brownies.

" babe I love you" he said , nuzzling his face in her neck.  " don't get me wrong , you still owe me 10 bucks for the bet"

Alice groaned and Xavier chuckled. Why did she bet on something as stupid as this anyway? Oh right. She wanted to be right as always.

He got up and moved the pieces of glass to the side with his leg, not wanting his girl to hurt her herself.

" come on , I'll get you some ice cream" he grabbed her hand and helped her up. She wiped her mouth with a paper towel and grabbed her coat.
" but I'll become fat . What will you do then ?" She asked in small voice.
After all , She was still a teenage girl obsessed with her looks .

" I'll become fat with you and then we can roll down a mountain or something .now come on" he answered pulling her to his side.

" so much for my resolution" Alice muttered under her breath as they exited the apartment and went to her favorite ice cream shop across the street.
