My eyelids felt heavy and I couldn't open them. It was like some idiot decided to lay a brick on each my eyelids. I forced them open and tried to sit up but someone's arm was slung across my neck. Groaning, I threw it aside and sat up clutching my stomach.
It felt like there was someone in my stomach, slashing and stabbing trying to get out.
"You okay?" A voice next to me asked.
I stopped rocking myself and looked up.
"Just a tummy ache," I forced a smile but he saw right through it.
"Are you alright?" he asked, his forehead wrinkled with concern.
"I'm fine, I'm fine!"
"You sure?" He sat up and looked in my eyes.
"Johnathon. Stop your worrying. It's just a tummy ache," I grinned and prodded him in the chest.
"Your shivering," he said and gave me a hug, probably to warm me up.
"Really?" I asked.
He nodded.
"Relax John I'm probably getting ill," I gave him a reassuring smile then stood up. "It's actually not that bad," I added looking around the room.
"Yeah I know," John stood up next to me. "I've never actually seen this happen, but most of them actually threw their cans in the bin!" John shook his head laughing quietly to himself.
I started picking stray cans up from the floor and John soon joined in. We managed to clean the front room up in about fifteen minutes and that included hoovering excess things that might have dropped on the floor, when that was done we both started on the kitchen with the music in the background.
The techno chicken song played through John's phone speakers and we did what any other normal person would, we danced whilst we cleaned the tables looking like complete idiots. The song ended and a new one started, I turned around to the door and saw Lizzie, Alex, Taylor, Lauren and Syrah watching us with wide grins. Embarressed, I blushed red and carried on cleaning avoiding eye contact.
"What are you doing here?" I asked, putting the brush down.
"Decided to spend the night," Alex shrugged.
"No one could be bothered to go home and Lizzie said that your parents won't be back till tomorrow so we thought 'why not'" Syrah clarified.
"You two cleaning or something?" Lizzie glanced around the untidy kitchen.
"Do I really need to answer that," I raised an eyebrow and looked from John, who was washing the dishes, back to Lizzie.
"Well I'm going back to sleep then," she rolled her eyes at me. "Don't put the music on too loud or you're going to die and trust me, you don't want to make me angry when I've got a hangover," she held her head muttering to herself whilst she walked away.
"Your scratch looks pretty nasty," Syrah laugh and pointed at my face. Why she found it funny, lord only knows.
"Imagine what Emma looks like," Alex laughed too along with everyone else. "You've got one hell of a grip," she shook her head.
"I know! Never thought you were violent really," Taylor added and sat on a kitchen stool.
"Oh my god you were hilarious though," John laughed. "I thought she was going to end up bald," he clutched his stomach. "Imagine....Emma...With no....Hair," he spoke between his laughter. "She'd look like an ugly version of Golem," we all began crying of laughter at this point.
"You're one fiesty chica," Taylor shook her head.
With everyone now awake and helping to clean the house (well, apart from Lizzie) we finished within the hour so we all threw ourselves on the sofa and watch the fillm Bad Boys.
Lizzie came down around three in the afternoon in the middle of the film and she sat down next to John with a sly smirk. She leaned towards his ear and started whispering making John's blush spread further and deeper. I looked at everyone else and noticed that they all seemed as puzzled as me.
John's eyes flickered to Alex but only for a second before returning his gaze to his knees which he had now brought up to his chest. I looked at Alex who was the only one watching the film in immense concentration whilst trying to hide he reddening cheeks with her vibrant red hair.
John nodded and Lizzie finished muttering to him, leant back with a huge grin plastered on her face. I looked at Alex then John, and then back at Alex. Everyone else just stared at John and Lizzie in confusion.
"What did you say?" I asked.
She shook my head smugly and looked at John, then back at me.
"Alex and I are dating," John said and turned even redder which I thought was impossible.
Everyone turned to Alex to see her expression and surely, she too had blushed.
Slowly she turned to face us, smiling slightly.
"When did this happen?" I asked, smiling also.
"At your party," she admitted. "He just... sort of... kissed me," she looked up at me. "And then he asked and I said yes."
Everyone cooed at them them both.
"You never told me that you had a little crush on Alex," Syrah poked him playfully.
"I never told anyone," he laughed when Syrah poked him in his ticklish area.
"Yeah and that was finally gonna be my dirt on you and now I have nothing to blackmail you with!" Lizzie pouted and folded her arms like a four year old child.
"What would have you blackmailed me on anyway?" he raised an eyebrow.
"I don't know..." Lizzie sighed. "But I could always do it if I needed you to do something!" she argued. "Hell, I could have made you and Alex my personal slaves and foot masseuse."
"I never thought you liked me. Lizzie kept telling me you did 'my brother likes you! Not like, but like-like!' I couldn't get her to shut up," Alex laughed as did everyone else, but in the middle of laughing I let out a groan which was louder than I had intended it to be. Everyone's laughter faltered and the all looked at me with a bemused expression.
"I'm fine. I'm fine." I lied but in honest truth, my stomach lurched. I don't think it was ever this bad before and I wasn't experiencing any period cramps since I finished just a week ago.
Thanks for reading and I would love it if you fan, add this story to your library, comment and vote! In your comment let me know what you think the stomach cramps are... something serious or not? hmm... o.o
