"Hello, Niall. I'm Dr. Sheeran," I said, walking into the room, holding my clipboard as I examined the patient's vitals. Blood pressure is 120/80, heart beats per minute is 73, and his temp is 36.6 degrees. Average height, fit, young. I can't seem to find what's wrong with him. And no one would tell me.

He groaned in response to my introduction. "What seems to be the problem?" I asked Judy, a nurse who was hooking him up to the IVs. "Mr. Horan has been expiriencing extreme stomach pains. He's been vomiting and has recently vomited blood," she said, as I checked on his heart beat again.

I read through everything, and decided that an emergency CAT scan for kidney stones or tumors was nessasary. He was rushed out of the room, and I was left sitting with four other distraught boys.

"Do any of you have a means of communication with the parents or gaurdians of your friend?" I asked, moving my swivel chair over to them. "I-I'll call Maura," the lad with the buzz cut offered. "Thank you," I smiled.

"Now, since your friend is in great hands, why don't you introduce yourselves?" I asked. "I'm Louis," the one with brown hair in a quiff and bloodshot blue eyes said. "Zayn," the one with raven black hair said, smiling sadly. "Harry," the one with the untamed curls said. "And that's Liam."

He pointed to the boy that was on the phone, who had told me he'd call earlier.

"Dr. Sheeran," Zayn spoke up, after a few minutes of brief silence. "If you don't mind me asking, how old are you?" "Nineteen," I said, smiling as I stood up. "And you're already a doctor!?" Harry exclaimed. I nodded, shrugging. "I liked school," I said, before seeing Niall be wheeled back in.

"We'll have the results of your CAT scan and X-Rays in about fifteen minutes," Nurse Judy said, smiling.

"Mr. Horan," I said, walking up to the lad. "If you could sign off on this release form, I can give you a low amount of pain medication, but not too much since we don't know if you'll have to be put under general anesthesia for any surgery." He nodded, and I passed him the pen from the pocket of my scrubs and handing him the form Judy held.

He signed quickly and sloppily, handing me the stuff back as Judy gave him the dosage of medicine. He gulped it down gratefully, and I excused myself, being called over the loudspeaker to another part of the ward.

I walked in the hallway, taking a folder from Nurse Adam as he walked with me, to the room.

"James Herald is a seventy year old with regular vitals. He's been complaining about being dizzy for the past hour or so, and his wife drove him up," Adam explained.

We walked into the room and again I introduced myself. "Hello, Mr. Herald. My name is Dr. Sheeran," I said, extending my hand.

He looked as healthy as anyone else would be; sitting up straight, not too pale or too flushed, regular eyes. Nothing uncommon.

"I've been waiting for the past twenty minutes. I think I deserve a doctor better than a child," he scoffed, looking at my hand. "I'm sorry for the wait, sir, but there are other patients I have to take care of," I said, putting on a fake smile as I examined his medical history. One blod clot two years ago, and recent heart failure. And the medication could be the cause of the dizziness.

"I would like to see your crudentials," he ordered. "Very well," I said, before turning to Amanda, another nurse who was working with us.

"Could you do me the huge favour of running to my office and grabbing my diplomas?" I asked the bouncy brunette. "Of course, Doctor," she said, before running out of the room.

"While we wait, Sir, would you mind telling me what you've eaten today?" I asked, taking out a pen. "Well, this morning, my chef, Javier, made a five egg, three cheese omlet that was absolutley divine, and I had a cup of decafinated coffee with it. At about half eleven, my wife and I went to the country club, where we had a medium-rare steak with this great red-wine sauce," Mr. Herald explained.
