I hopped into his truck unsure of why he was inviting me into his car.
"Why did you want to see me?" I asked trying to mask how afraid I was.
"I see you walk home everyday and I thought it would be nice to give you a ride Lacey."
"Oh okay then thanks," I said with a sigh of relief.
He was just trying to do a nice gesture, I was still afraid though. He was a junior and I was a freshmen and we hadn't talked. I didn't want to say no and seem rude so I just continued to buckle up and let him drive me home.
"How was your first day of school?" Tyler asked me.
"It was okay how about you?" I asked just trying to make conversation.
"It sucked as usual, so high school isn't that bad?"
"No, not at all."
**AUSTINS POV**
"Was that Tyler that just drove by?" I asked Alex.
"Yeah, he's such a creep now, something really changed him." Alex said.
"Something or someone." I said hinting at Whitney.
We both laughed.
"Who was that with him?" I asked because I had never seen her before.
" I think her name is Lacey, she went to one of the bonfires Andrew had."
"Oh I see," I said. Lacey was really pretty and only a freshmen. She shouldn't get caught up with Tyler, he's a bad guy.
**Lacey's POV**
"My house is right here," I said really anxious to get out of the car.
"Alright," Tyler said as he pulled in and unlocked the car.
"Thanks for the ride," I said, I was thankful, it was just kinda weird.
"Anytime, see you cutie," Tyler said.
Why did he say that? He had never acknowleged me before. I didn't want to get caught up in some relationship drama so I definitely wasn't going to go after Tyler. Plus I heard he's not the best guy. I don't think I'm ever going to let him drive me home again.
