Unsent Letters (One Shot)

Another normal day of school. Liesl was walking around the campus, with a box of unsent letters in her hand. She looked around for somewhere to sit. She soon found a spot, sat down and got comfy, opened the box of letters and started reading. 

"Dear Darren.........................................."

Liesl read all the letters one by one when suddenly some called her.

"Hey Liesl!"

"Oh my gosh, Darren said hey." She said to herself. 

"What's up Liesl?" Darren asked.

"O-Oh n-nothing much hehe. Y-you?" Liesl stuttered.

"Same here. Uh, I have something to tell you..." Darren said nervously.

"S-something to tell me? Really? Oh cool." she replied trying to act cool.

"Well.. I uhm." he fidgeted. "I-I read your letters."

"You r-read the l-letters? What letters hahahahaha. I don't know what you're talking about." she tried to act innocent.

"Those were your letters, right? They had your name on it."

"Oh yeah I was just joking you know. HAHAH. You know me, I'm quite the comedian." She laughed it off. 

"Oh were you serious when you wrote those letters?" he asked shyly

"O-of course not. It was all a joke" she lied.

"Oh. Okay. I thought. Nevermind. Bye." 

'Oh no he looks a bit disappointed.' she thought

"Darren, Wait. Okay, yes, I was serious about those letters. I still am." she admitted

"R-really?" His eyes lit up

"Y-yes." she blushed

"That's great. I like you, too."

"R-really? You're joking right? This is a prank, isn't it?"

"N-no it isn't. I swear." he waved his hands in front of me. 

"Okay, okay. I believe you." she chuckled. "So, what now?"

"Well, I wondering if you would go on a date with me?

"A d-d-date?" she stuttered.

"Yeah. I was thinking we could watch a movie then have some dinner. You know, the usual stuff people do on dates."

"When are we gonna go on a date?" 

"Well, I was hoping we could go now... if it's alright with you, of course."

"Y-yeah, sure. B-but is what I'm wearing, okay?"

"Yup, you look great in that. So cute."  he suddenly covered his mouth. 

"W-what's wrong?" Liesl asked worriedly.

Darren shook his head. "D-did I just say that outloud?"

"Uh, yes?" she laughed. "Come on, let's go." she gestured her hand towards him and smiled gently.

He took her hand and smiled back. "Okay, let's go."

"So, what do you wanna watch, Liesl? My treat." he offered.
