I pushed through the cafeteria doors in an angry rage. How fucking DARE he? She had no business to know, and even if she did, I would've told her, not my dipshit brother!
I took a deep breath and stopped at my locker, grabbing my skateboard.
"Alice!" Lily called. I groaned and turned around. "What? Wanna call me a dyke and run away? I'd prefer that than you fake it." Lily looked at me and the look in her eyes made me regret saying anything. "Why the hell would I do that? I consider you my friend! Besides, if I were to do that, you may as well call me a fucking dyke too!" She cried, then turned and ran away.
Oh shit.
"Lily!" I yelled, running after her. She ran to the outside, past all the pointing and whispering teens staring at us. She scurried behind a tree, and I reached out just in time to grab her. I picked her up bridal style and ignored her complaints to put her down. We walked to a bench where I sat her down and sat next to her. "Lil-" I began. "Alice, leave me alone." She mumbled.
"I didn't know! You're so pretty and innocent and nice, I thought you'd fucking hate me if I told you what my sexuality was. I didn't think you'd understand, because no one ever does. I didn't realize you weren't anything like everyone else." I stood up, grabbing my skateboard. "But it seems like I fucked up, just like with regular people, so I'm gonna go. I'm sorry."
Though Lily called after me, I plugged in my headphones and skated away

I stopped at a park. I picked my skateboard to a stand and looked around. The usual. Junkies, stoners, reggae posers, metalheads, and beauty queens. I went to my usual shady tree and took my lunch out. I sighed and took a bite out of the BLT, took a sip of the root beer. The song Everything Is In It's Right Place By RadioHead was playing. I was pretty zen.
I glanced at the sun. I immediately pulled out my iPod and played Here Comes The Sun by The Beatles. I grinned and sang along, swinging my feet and dancing.
"Nice moves." Someone said.
I stopped dead in my tracks and looked up. There was a girl standing there. She had on short shorts, a tank top, full red lips, and black high tops. Her hair fell in waves down her shoulders, which were both a honey complexion. Pretty hot, overall.
"Ugh, thanks?" I said, rubbing my neck. The song changed to Radio/Video by System Of A Down. "No problem. Can I sit with you?" She asked, showing a pearly white smile. "If you tell me your name, sure." I smiled back. "Vanessa, you?" She asked, putting her hand out. "Alice Jane." I said, shaking her hand. She sat next to me and asked, what son are you listening to?" "Radio/Video By SOAD." "I love that band!" "Really? I smirked, raising my eyebrows. "Hell yeah! Daron and Serj are the coolest motherfuckers around! Other than Jonathan Davis, of course." "Jon? Holy shit, I love Korn!" I grinned. She nodded towards my wristbands and my shoes. "I can see that!" She smiled. I felt my eyes light up and I said, "You sound pretty awesome." 'Why thank you! So do you! But you seem a little sad, pumpkin. What's wrong?"
I took a deep breath.
"Well, long story. It started off when I was about 13, and I decided I as a lesbian. It ruined a couple of relationships I had with people in the past, so I decided to only tell people I trusted about my sexuality. But then this new girl in school, and her name is Lily. I was assigned to show her around the school. She's drop dead gorgeous. She has really long brown hair and magnificent brown eyes, perfection. I was stunned, and I think I like her a little bit. But anyways, I showed her around, but it was time for lunch. We went in and sat at the Punk table, and we were talking, but my dumbass brother Zeppelin told her I was a lesbian. I didn't want to tell her, because I didn't know her all that well. I got pissed and went away, but she followed me. I said something stupid, she got mad, she tells me she's a lesbian too. But now she's mad and she walked away. I followed her and apologized, but she didn't accept it and now I'm here."
Vanessa sat and listened to all my fucked up story, and I really appreciated it. "You need to talk to her." Vanessa said. "Well, yeah, I know, but do you think she'll even want to talk to me?" Vanessa smiled and looked at me. "With a girl as pretty as you, she'd be a fool not to." I blushed and hugged her. "Thank you." I said. "No prob. Call me if you need me." She said, scribbling her number down on a piece of paper and handing it to me.
I put it in my book bag and thanked her, then rolled off to school.
Ugh.

I got back to school as soon as the bell indicating the end of lunch rang. I walked over to the cafeteria doors after I put my skateboard into my locker. I saw her long hair cascaded around her face, which looked towards the ground. I reached out and pulled her aside. I lifted her chin with two finger, smiled and said, "I'm sorry for being such an asshole. I have really bad trust issues and I was scared. Forgive me?" I asked, hopefully. Lily smirked and said, "Of course. Now get me to my next class, please." I grinned and grabbed her hand, racing to our next class.
After sitting through two hours of boring geometry, it was off to an hour of French, then two hours of Literature, where I excelled. After classes, I grabbed my skateboard again and found Lily.
"Hey!" I said, grinning.
"Hello!" She smiled.
"Wanna hang out?" "Loads of homework, can't." "Well, do you need help with any homework? I may be of assistance." Lily laughed and said, "Come on. I could use some help."
"SCORE!" I yelled. Lily punched my shoulder and I laughed.
Time to get my groove on!
