It all started the second I got in his car. I never thought anything of it. It was just me, and three friends hanging out. Michael, the driver was 18, and his parents just moved to California, but he stayed behind, in Ohio to go to college. I sat in the front passenger seat, beside Michael, and in front of Tyler, who was sitting beside Kyle. We were all just doing the usual. We drove around, trying to find some places to look around at. We started our expedition at my house, which was directly across the street from the C.J. Brown reservoir, which had a couple sight seeing spots. One of them was the Crabill house, a large, brick house in the deep woods of Buck Creek state park. It was once famous, and often visited, but nowadays nobody really knows about it, so it is basically abandoned. It was about 11 p.m. and we were all wide awake, so we jokingly decided to go "ghost hunting." We drove as far down the road to the Crabill house that we could, where we parked in gravel. We started down the road to the ominous, and somewhat freaky house. People said that you could hear the bell at the house ringing at night if you were really quiet, and it was not too windy, but we could not hear anything too crazy. But then we started getting closer to the house. The four of us walked around the house and sat on the porch, which was pointed directly at the reservoir, and we started hearing something. Anyone with an above average I.Q. would guess that the house has wooden floors. We heard that tapping, that would change our whole night. The tapping that seemed to get closer. We all heard it. It was the creepiest thing I think I have ever heard. Until Michael started laughing, and said, "You guys didn't even notice my arm tapping on the porch?" I said "What the hell, Michael, why would you do that? You know Kyle might wet his pants like the little bitch he is." We all laughed at Kyle, so obvious that nobody can mistake us for laughing with him. Then he said "That's why Anthony got scared the second we stepped out of his own house." After that, him and I argued, then Michael said he heard a cracking noise in the woods. We saw a shadowy figure pass by, which may or may have not been the first paranormal encounter of the night. Kyle and Tyler were both saying it was probably just an animal, but Michael and I both thought it was humanoid. We decided it might be best just to leave, so we headed down the road and got in the car.
