"Who here can please give me an idea of what we're looking at?" The teacher said as she pointed to the board. It had a picture on it, and we all very much knew what it was. I had just zoned in, so I had no idea why our language arts teacher was showing us a dead body. "Maybe Jase could answer that for us?" she used my nickname like she was one of my friends, plus I didn't even raise my hand. Why the hell would she call on me? What gave her the right above us? Age? Like she had any more experience than I had in life. She hasn't been through half of what i have, the wars, the lies, the hate. The love. She would never understand, not if she lived half as long as I have.

So after a long time of fake thinking, I raised my hand and calmly said "It's a dead body." When I said it, it seemed to send a shudder down everybody's spine. All except mine, I didn't fear death. It was inevitable, at least for most people.

So after a long silence, the teacher finally said "Yes Jase, good job. It is a dead body. Now I want you to tell me how you think it died."

It was a fresh body, probably died very recently. After a while I began to notice everything. I guess the ol'  investigator in me's coming out again. There were multiple slight incisions on his wrist, they have been scarred. This suggested that he was suicidal, and therefore killed himself.

and that's when the flaschback began
