Last January

January is in, one year complete,
Since you told me, again we shall meet.

Thinking of you, every moment,
Lay here still, the letters unsent.

As the days pass, I ponder,
Shall we really meet, I wonder.

You were my hero, you taught me how to live,
You were with me, when I had nothing to give.

People have summer loves, you were my winter,
The best person ever, in my life you did enter.

They say, Hope can kill,
But inside me, life it does fill.

I don't know if we'll meet again,
But I want to and it's driving me insane.

One day my body, they will bury,
But I shall always remember, Last January.
